Suggs being Suggs
It seems that outside linebacker Terrell Suggs has had to defend a lot of his comments lately. He is as impulsive off the field as he is on it. He's 25 but it's apparent he still has some growing up to do. This morning, Suggs had to defend recent comments made to the national media. He reportedly said he put a bounty on Pittsburgh receiver Hines Ward, and that Troy Smith should be the quarterback instead of Joe Flacco.
"I thought his question [the reporter's] was about multiple packages," said Suggs about his preference for Smith. "I said both quarterbacks should get a chance to play, like running back Ronnie Brown [in Miami] depending on the package. Joe is 3-3 at the starter and has done a good job. It's not like we haven't won any games."
And the bounty?
"There wasn't any bounty," said Suggs. "He [the reporter] asked me if there was a bounty and I just said I'm going to keep a watch on the guy. He [Ward] broke some guy's jaw last week, and he tried to cheap shot JJ [Jarret Johnson]. He has also cheap-shotted Ed Reed. We're just going to be on alert the next time we play him. It's like the guy in your neighborhood who always pulls your shorts down and your drawers show, well, you always have to be on the lookout. You have to be alert."
You know those comments raised a few eyebrows over at The Castle this morning, and coach John Harbaugh probably was sitting in front of Suggs' locker when he arrived today. With Suggs, cornerback Chris McAlister and safety Ed Reed, there is never a dull moment during the football season.
Sometimes, the best words are no words.

Comments
I think with those comments Sizzle has signed his ticket out of town after this season, and after CMac's comments today as well, it appears as sad as it is to say, they both need to move on. It's for the better of the team.

Kind of funny how some people actually believe anything a player says. He is in the NFL because he can play football not because he is intelligent or has any common sense. Players, media, etc. all have there biases and say and do stupid things. Just look at some of the player awards that players vote for, they are as clueless as the next person.
Yet stations give many of them shows and people listen to them. Dumb and dumber.
Posted by: Rich | October 22, 2008 5:01 PM
Gee Dave, how the heck is it better for the team to dump a pro bowl cornerback and a pro bowl linebacker?
Posted by: POPSinPA | October 22, 2008 5:12 PM
You know what Preston Suggs,Ray Lewis, and Mcalister all need to be gone next year. If the locker room that you complained about so much Is to really change some of these talented clowns need to go no matter what there skills are.
Posted by: Donta | October 22, 2008 5:27 PM
Pretty ridiculous of him to say that crap, I've defended Suggs but he just need to just shut his mouth here. We've already got problems with C-Mac and Harbaugh, we don't need more with Suggs. He had a great game against the Dolphins, he didn't need to ruin it by saying this crap.
Posted by: Marcus | October 22, 2008 5:29 PM
It'll be interesting to see what kind of spin Suggs tries to put on all of this when he does his weekly radio show with the Queen of South Beach. Even more interesting to see if Harbaugh gives Suggs the McAlister treatment for the Oakland game or, even better, does what the Browns did with Kellen Winslow (doubtful). I just hope Steve Bisciotti is finally getting the message that you can't change the culture on this team simply by firing the head coach.
Posted by: Ray | October 22, 2008 5:30 PM
I think it better for the team if fans such as Dave move on and root for the Redskins or the Iggles.
Posted by: Pop Rox | October 22, 2008 5:31 PM
WTF? This guy is great entertainment. What a moron! So long as nobody in the locker room minds and continues to play well... Still wha ta big goof!
PS- I hope someone gives ward a good hit NOT a cheap hit BUT a good solid thumping
Posted by: Tom | October 22, 2008 6:07 PM
Dave Trembley made a point that the Raven's should consider when he said he wanted players who wanted to be Baltimore Orioles. Terrell Suggs is a hired gun nothing more. To save 8 million in cap space I say we franchise and trade him or cut ties all together.
Let Suggs be Suggs elsewhere.

Mike- It was good to see some positive articles from you lately, ie-Ray, The Team..
In this recent Post, why do you throw Ed Reed's name in w/ Suggs & C-Mac?? What has he done except be an ultimate ballplayer, teammate, and great for the community?? It sounds like you are referring to him as stirring the pot when it comes to causing trouble..?
Posted by: Paco | October 22, 2008 7:03 PM
mike Suggs is going and so is
McAlister. Billick put up with this foolishness and was one of the reasons he lost his job.
It's a new boss in town and if you cannot adjust you are out of here..
Posted by: lewesjim | October 22, 2008 7:09 PM
Suggs is just plain unintelligent. Period, the dude isn't that smart. He needs to understand the pecking order here. First round QBs being dissed in favor of 5' 11" backups isn't exactly good for team chemistry. This is a nice way to get shipped off. How bout Bolding for Suggs Mike?
Posted by: Scott jones | October 22, 2008 7:17 PM
What is Suggs Smoking? I think Troy Smith's capability has spoke for itself just as Kile boler's has !
NO CONSISTANCY ! Alot of us ask why these 2 guys are still on the roster , especially after their sad proformances ! They did great in Collage but.....This ain't Collage my friends, and the 2 have shown the inability to adapt to the NFL as prime stock.
As far as Joe Flaco.....To develope a francise Q-back,as we are seeking to do, we have to go thru the growing pains of this individual as he gains experience in this game. Before Joe's proformance last week against Miami, I was very skeptic about his ability to rapidly improve, due to the fact that we went from 2 wins to 2 losses and the fact that he's limited ( by his Coaching Staff ) on the deep vertical plays. But watching Joe against Miami, and seeing more passing allowed, and how he responded, It does appear that there is alot of improvement on his part,so be Patient Suggs ! Otherwise you sound self serving and a little Bias to your friend Troy !

I love that T Sizzle said this. Hines Ward is well known for cheap shots and its time he gets his. Remember people, this is a huge rivalry for us and talking some trash is a part of that. GO RAVENS!
Posted by: Josh in Austin | October 22, 2008 7:40 PM
I agree with POPSinPA. I'm not real concerned with anything that I have heard so far. The whole CMac thing is still a mystery to me and I would love to see someone pop Ward. As far as Smith vs Flacco, its too bad we never got to see Smith play and we probably never will.
What did they say that was so bad that we can afford to run them out of town anyway?
Posted by: Jim Neumann | October 22, 2008 7:51 PM
Let Cmac go!!! He's gettin to old, pro bowl are you kidding me he's getting beat in all his matchups this year time to let him go!!! As far as Sugg's goes you need to sign him to multi-year deal, he's the future of the defense!!!
Posted by: corey | October 22, 2008 7:54 PM
It seems the same guys are always running their mouths and and the rest of the team is just trying to do their jobs and win games. Too bad their isn't an intelligence test and a maturity test needed to be a pro player. It seems like certain players can say and do anything they want and are backed by the queen of south beach and insider king.
Posted by: OCJOHN | October 22, 2008 8:15 PM
Suggs is protecting his mates regarding Ward, however, him making any comments regarding the QB situation to the press is absurd. He should be fined for his stupidity. Trying to break up team chemistry? For the situation Flacco was thrown into, he has done a nice job. I am not against using both QB's, but keep his comments to himself.
C-Mac needs to grow up. The guy has so much talent if he would just grow up and understand what the word "TEAM" means.
I can't believe this crap is going on within the locker room right now.
They need to bond together and focus on winning.
Posted by: Mya Pinion | October 22, 2008 10:13 PM
Looks like the wheels are beginning to fall off the raven's wagon. Great team chemistry!
Also, looks like Hines Ward is into the Raven's heads. Thats what a couple of pops will do!
Posted by: Anonymous | October 22, 2008 10:15 PM
So what if he said some stupid stuff? Everyone has once or twice. This one of the top young pass rushers in this league. It's not like he's going off and doing stuff like Kellen Winslow or Larry Johnson. Ray Lewis continues to be one of the top players in the league and continues to be a leader not just for this team but for the entire league. And McAlister still remains as one of the top corners in this league as well. How can you justify getting rid of these guys?
Talent like these can't be found on the street. Get rid of lewis, suggs and Mcalister and you
can also throw out this top D. These played are
the reason that the Ravens have any hope of
having a .500 season. Be glad that there is
talent such as this, we could be in the same
position as Detroit or Oakland. Besides,
Flacco's thrown 2 TD's vs 7 ints. It's not like
he's done anything special. Besides, the coaches make decsions, and I doubt any of these actions will be as detrimental to the team as actions committed by other players are. Chill out people
Posted by: AJ | October 22, 2008 10:28 PM
Suggs has the right to say whatever he wants. He wasn't right to say it, though. The Ward comments don't bother me, but publicly questioning the starting QB who just led your team to victory is simply foolish. On a brighter note, I read on CoastToCoastRavens.com this evening that Suggs is hosting a charity event this weekend. At least he wants to help the city out a bit.
Posted by: Maurice | October 22, 2008 10:45 PM
"We definitely like to send our messages to rookie running backs who think they've made it." Suggs said. "We did a good a job of sending a message."
As for Ward, Suggs said, "Hines Ward is definitely a dirty player, a cheap shot artist."
Suggs is the biggest hypocritical, piece of trash, worthless human being!! He talks about how "dirty" Hines Ward is and then talks about doing a good job of ending Mendenhall's season.
I'm soooo thankful that he's a role model for all of Baltimore's youth.
You're pathetic Suggs.
Posted by: Common Sense | October 22, 2008 11:07 PM
Suggs is as dumb as they come in not just the NFL, but in the country. Stupid Stupid Stupid.
As for Ward, how hypocritical of these babies...Bart Scott comes in unblocked and dumps Big Ben (who wasn't even looking) and Ward crushes Reed and JJ on legit, penalty free blocks and Thuggs is gonna call him a cheap shot artist?
Blocks like the one he layed on Rivers happen every week...there were 2 of them on Reggie Bush's 1st punt return on that Monday night game v. the Vikings.
Posted by: Greg | October 22, 2008 11:27 PM
The same idiots that are saying, "dump this guy, dump that guy" are going to be the same nitwits yelling for Harbaugh to be fired once he cuts ties with the lynchpins of this great defense and then have a season where the Ravens have neither an offense nor a defense. I can imagine the outcry, "At least we had a great defense before this [expletive] came to Baltimore, fire John Harbaugh!". I pray Harbaugh does the right thing by fixing the problem instead of junking the old reliable Mercedes, coach them, teach them how to be on and off the field, don't discard blue chip players who have gaffes like all of us for high character blokes who can't tackle or cover. I think we have had a great defense for so long it's now taken for granted. The days are coming "fans", the days are coming and you will be sorry. Oh I forgot, you're already sorry.
Posted by: derek | October 22, 2008 11:29 PM
I totally agree. Suggs needs to keep his mouth shut. I don't care if he is a superstar player or not. Don't talk crap about your team and teammates. If he wants to keep talking that's fine, but there will be consequences and I hope that Harbaugh will discipline him as well and bench him. This isn't Brian Billick, you can't walk all over Harbaugh
Posted by: Jeff | October 22, 2008 11:33 PM
i also think it's time to part away with Cmac and suggs!
Cmac is no more a probowl shutdown corner, and is over 30 so time to find young gems!
Suggs is going to ask too much money at the end of the season, and is inability to keep his mouth shut is going to push him out of the town... When have the same guy already in the rosters: antwan barnes!! and he do lots of nice stuff on nickel package...
we're also crowded at the safety position: time to trade ed reed too and maybe get a good younger player or draft pick... i'm ok with landry leonard zibowski and nakamura (what a hit on kickoff against dolphins!)
also time to get rid of willis, his body is breaking down... we've got ray rice, big mcclain and we can find another good guy with the draft!
We need to keep Ray and bart scott! time to find a disruptive tackle to groom before gregg and bannan are too old and a big DE too because trevor wo'nt last too long..
let's draft the best CB and a good WR and i'm Ok wuth the rest of the roster!!!! GO RAVENS GO! i bleed purple!!!!

Good ole "T-Sizzle" oops I really mean "T-IDIOT". I hate Pittsburgh but wouldn't it be great if Ward knocked some common sense into this guy. Mr Terrell 'my penalty cost us a game this year' is a shining example of how NOT to be a "team" player and should not be brought back next season. Troy Smith- you have got to be kidding!!
Posted by: Anonymous | October 23, 2008 7:29 AM
Suggs comments are far more reaching than a local radio program, it goes straight to the locker room. He needs to be a team player and not an idiot. Buy into the team concept or go play for the Bungles or Cowgirls. He can join C'mac on the bench this week. It is a TEAM game, not a ME game. ...although I would like to see Ward get whats coming to him. ;-)
Posted by: Fells Point Craig | October 23, 2008 7:36 AM
Suggs is a turd. We should unload him for picks or for Boldin if the Cards are interested this offseason. Did everyone forget that last week he said the team would quit on Harbaugh if they lost the Miami game? That's the kind of attitude I want on the team. NOT. Time to dig the cancer out of this team.
Posted by: jeff | October 23, 2008 7:37 AM
this is typical suggs behavior, so there is a simple solution, at the end of the season lets offer Arizona a trade, suggs for boldin?
Posted by: dave | October 23, 2008 7:48 AM
yuo knew ti woupld only be a matte rof time for the same malcontents ro rear their ugly heads this year as they have in hte past,Harbaugh will never have success here unless he gets the chance to have his own players in the locker room and on the field. get rid of those who do not want to be here and good riddance!!!!
Posted by: Mike B | October 23, 2008 7:52 AM
How does the Ravens front office think that maintaining the thug element of this team is going to benefit them in the future? Talk is cheap. Send Suggs someplace else where he can run his mouth
Posted by: FH | October 23, 2008 8:29 AM
Suggs: Just shut up and play football.
Posted by: Mike Morgan | October 23, 2008 8:31 AM
You know what, the Ravens act is so tired it is rediculous! They have not won anything in forever and yet every year we have to listen to their talk as though they are the 3 time defending champions. Just please go away, earlier than you usually do come early January!
Posted by: Phil | October 23, 2008 8:32 AM
Hey Mike...
Wait a second, I thought these things were supposed to stop once Brian Billick got fired? I thought Billick was the problem? I thought Billick "lost control" of his locker room? If the Ravens were 2-4 instead of 3-3, would Harbaugh be "losing control of the locker room"? Oh wait, nothing has really changed. When the QB doesn't turn the ball over, the Ravens usually win. When the QB does turn the ball over, the Ravens usually lose. And the cast of characters that Ozzie's staff has put together hasn't changed. They never have, and they never will, and it doesn't matter one iota who the coach is...
Maybe some day you'll figure that out Mike...

Look! He said he didn't say what was reported. The 2Stews are clowns (if you've ever listedned) and are nothing but hype. Before you fry Suggs, look at what he produces on the field and the consistency of what he says. I might not like what he says all of the time however he not one to back away from a statement. NFL players are not spokesman and have the right to speak, unless there is a team gag order. But how exciting would that be for reporters and people like us who respond to these reports? I'm all for someone knocking Heinz Ward on his rump! One day he's going to end someone's career with one of his patented "cheap shots"! If he did put a bounty on Ward, he's just doing what many others probably want to do. He just needs to keep mum about it. Ward would be more respected from his peers if he just plays hard like he used to. The blindside shots need to stop. PERIOD ! In all my years I've never wished harm to anyone on the field of play, but this guy....boy...its a different story. Please someone let this guy know the severity of his "cheap shots", and wipe that silly smile off of his face!!!

Suggs and CMac are two of the best defenders in football. I for one are glad they are on our team.As for Hines Ward, he needs someone to knock that antagonizing grin off his face.He is a good player, and dont need to take cheap shots.

None of the hits that Suggs is talking about are cheap shots. Notice that Hines was not fined by the NFL for the hits. The hit on Rivers was perfectly legal and right in the middle of the play, it's not Hines fault he broke River's jaw. Same with the Ed Reed hit a few years ago. Just because he lights guys up doesn't necessarily make it "cheap". This is football, not ballet. Grow up and play hard. Big hits make it way more exciting.

Suggs is a great palayer for the ravens, so who cares what comes out of his mouth. for that fact i hope the ravens get ocho cinco next season when he leaves the bengals. you guys need to stop hanging on the words of these athlete like their in charge of the country or something. who cares what their opinion is about teammates. i just want us to beat the teams that are hard to beat and to do that we need hard nosed players like suggs and hopefully ocho cinco nest season.

What team in this league doesn't have this type of crap going on? What team doesn't have "misunderstandings" between the Head Coach and players.
It's the best D in the league, at least on paper I think. Why would you break it up? Chemisty issues??? If you have followed this league this stuff does not tear apart a locker room, losses do. Look at Dallas, and the whole TO thing. Burress in NY chirping at Coughlin. Dallas is a Superbowl favorite, or was, and the Giants are considered the best team in the League if not right there. All this crap is part of the NFL and the way the media is today we should expect to know more about this crap and not really know the true details. Can't always believe everything you hear and read, it's just that simple.
Posted by: Mike | October 23, 2008 9:24 AM
I am a big Steeler Fan, and I beleive the bounty on Ward is trash talk, which has been going on for years, so what, lets just play some football. I will admit, I am not a big fan of the Ravens, but your defense is very good and has great talent, and your offense is improving. To bad a player with great talent (Sugg's) has not learned to keep his comments on the field, and out of the press, take some lessons from Ray Lewis, he has learned how to act, on and off the field. By the way, Ray Lewis is and will always be one of the greatest linebacker to play the game, hits hard, aggressive, and in some ways like Ward, come out of now where to lay you out, with a clean shot. Just because Ward is a receiver, does that mean he cannot lay you out, you would not hesitate to lay him out.
Posted by: Chuck in Pittsburgh | October 23, 2008 9:29 AM
Maybe he should worry about actually beating Pittsburgh instead of Hines Ward. Sad that a big, burly linebacker is so physically intimidated by a wide receiver.
Posted by: Sure | October 23, 2008 9:34 AM
Suggs has a big mouth. By him making comments about Hines Ward having a bounty, he probably just set up a Raven to be hurt. Flacco will be in the cross hairs of every defender for the Steelers. They will try to injure him in retailaition for Suggs stupid comments. If you're going after a player, fine, but be smart enough to keep it to yourself.
Posted by: Ron | October 23, 2008 9:40 AM
Suggs is a goof but a goof who we want on the balitmore Ravens. This is news? It's like all the newspapers running the story that Marcus Vick was arrested for DUI. Who cares!
Can you imagine all the crap these guys say on a daily basis? If harbaugh took half of it seriously he'd need to get rid of half the team.
With all the success the wildcat had, until it met tsizzle and company, wouldn't it be smart to create some packages for Troy smith. As long as he doesn't have to throw it may make sense.
Harbaugh's message appears to be working and if not I have no doubt persistent trouble guys will be gone.
Posted by: jamaltimore | October 23, 2008 9:41 AM
ARE YALL crazy!!! No way we let go T Sizzle in the offseason. I think we need to make some major changes, but not with him. C-Mac Gone! Soft Heap gone! Mark Clayton Gone! those are some people who need to go, Not Ray Lew or T Sizzle
Posted by: Bmore | October 23, 2008 9:47 AM
The Ravens are a better team with all three than without. If the media focused on off the field issues in the past, guys like Babe Ruth would have been run out of town. For me all this off the field stuff is a non issue. Let's play football.
Posted by: Ken | October 23, 2008 9:52 AM
I hate to say it, but we'd be absolutely lucky to have a receiver like Hines Ward on our team. It's easy to say his blocks are cheap shots when they're happening to our team, but the man is doing his job. Those kind of hits/blocks take place on special teams all the time. The fact that our defensive guys are always talking about him and his blocks shows that he's already won--he's in their heads.
Posted by: Pete H. | October 23, 2008 10:09 AM
Suggs is just a big kid at heart. He means no harm. As for Troy, he may play from time to time to get some game experience if we don't keep Kyle as our primary backup but Lazer Joe will start for the next decade or so............I still can't believe I'm watching a Raven rookie QB running a no huddle offense and putting the ball on target after target. He's like a kid at the carnival shooting gallery making the piano play over and over again........
Posted by: PaPaJim | October 23, 2008 10:31 AM
I think it's hilarious that Suggs is being raked over the coals for what many 'fans' thought from the beginning. Everyone was clamoring for Troy Smith to start because he could be a game changer due to his ability to improvise and make plays with his feet. It's not like Flacco is setting the world on fire. He had a solid game last week but played and looked like a rookie the two weeks before that.
As far as Hines Ward, why not put a bounty on his head? He's been taking out Ravens players for the last year and no one has decided to clock him in-between the lines. Why not give him a dose of his own medicine?
Posted by: PJG | October 23, 2008 10:33 AM
I am fine with the comments made by T-Sizzle and McAlister. Our continued problem is the offense and we need to make changes. We need to start Smith as has been suggested. That would make my OSU friends happy. And next year we need to draft a top rate corner like we should have done this year.
Posted by: Andrew in Ohio | October 23, 2008 11:10 AM
Suggs is gone after this season. No way he stays in Baltimore. C-Mac is probably gone too... Sucks for us.
Posted by: Steve O | October 23, 2008 11:14 AM
What is the problem here? If you don't want an answer don't ask the question.--- Do you really want all 524 palyers on the team to answer the question with the answer the coach gave them?
The whole point of reporters interviewing players and not the coach is that players may think differently. jeez, why can't he have an opinion? And for goshsakes he plays on the defense and has 0% to do with the offense.
The sports world would grind to a halt if all we had were the empty cliches from coaches. . .. answers designed to be bland, non inflammatory, and congratualtory of the other team. BORING.
I am glad for once that an athlete kind of said what they think. . . of course now that somwething original was uttered he has to go back and say, "er... after talking to my coach I realized that my answer should have been the same as his would have been."
Posted by: sparky1 | October 23, 2008 12:07 PM
People need to calm down about this. I'm sure Suggs' rant will be addressed and everyone will move on. Flacco is the only option at starter right now. If Suggs is really saying that Smith should be thrown into some packages, then I agree (as long as he is not the starter). I would hate to let a guy like Sizzle go just as he is becoming a complete player.
As for C-Mac, if this weird player/coach relationship continues to deteriorate, I say trade him. But you only trade him if you know you are going to replace him with a top-notch CB. Good corners are hard to come by, so you can't let one go without a contingency plan.
Posted by: Mr. Deez | October 23, 2008 12:41 PM

Suggs is a punk but Hines Ward is a bigger punk. Someone needs to take that smile off his face with one of his own patented cheap shots.
Posted by: Anonymous | October 23, 2008 12:58 PM
I was always a fan of Hines Ward over the years. Thought he played the game hard but fair. Not any more after watching his latest cheap hits. I think he has gone over the line, penalties or not. It is the NFL, I am sure someone will look for payback, adn soon.
Posted by: Big Jer | October 23, 2008 1:13 PM
Hey, I've been wanting to see about these bounty comments, but I haven't seen an exact quotation yet. This seems like the media taking a quote out of context or putting words in Suggs's mouth. Do you have any way of finding the exact words and confirming what he said about a "bounty"?
Posted by: Michael | October 23, 2008 1:37 PM
Yes, football players are not Fulbright scholars. But Suggs, geeez. Why are you giving the Steelers more motivation? I think you're helping the wrong team.
Posted by: Hawkeye | October 23, 2008 1:42 PM
What I don't understand is two-fold...
1) Most of these guys are not playing football (or most other sports) because they are intelligent. I seem to remember that Dexter Manley 'graduated' from college and later was found to have very limited reading skills...so why do people pay any attention to what they have to say?
2) Most media shades or invents what it presents based on the personal opinions of the reporter and/or editors...so why does the public place so much faith in them?
The problem is that the general public isn't a lot brighter than the sports figures they worship as heroes and only knows what the manipulative media tells them or feels they need to know.
Honesty and integrity have become archaic.

"PS- I hope someone gives ward a good hit NOT a cheap hit BUT a good solid thumping"
Ward takes shots like these all the time, too bad these overgrown crybaby Raven defenders cant take what they dish.
Posted by: Dan | October 23, 2008 2:08 PM
I just think between Suggs, Lewis, Scott we wont be able to keep all 3 and significantly improve the offense at the same time. I think between that and what we decide to do with c-mac and rolle will make for some tough decisions for us this offseason. We have a franchise qb in place now we have to add another weapon or 2 to create balance between offense and defense.
Posted by: Carey | October 23, 2008 2:39 PM
Suggs is a case of the pot calling the kettle black. Ward is dishing out cheap shots? No player in the NFL is as vulnerable to vicious hits as a receiver going across the middle, like Ward does all the time. And now a linebacker is complaining that a receiver might look to dish out a little punishment of his own? That is the position that's given the most freedom to roam and inflict bodily harm to whomever they want. All Suggs has accomplished is to alert the league that there might be some head hunting the next time the Ravens play the Steelers. At the first hint of dirty play by the Ravens, the NFL will levy the punishment.

I have to say, being a Steelers fan, i was extremely surprised and delighted to see all the Ravens' fans that were digusted at what Suggs said. It is reassuring to know that the good people of Baltimore are TRUE football fans ... Kudos to all the Raven fans!

The only reason Hines is not a DB is because he can actually catch the ball. I love hearing players whine about the big tough WR that knocked somebody's head off. If they are thinking of making a tackle but are looking around for Hines, he has already won that battle. Keep talking Suggs, Hines was been beating the Purple Browns since you were in high school.

I think all of us need to keep things in perspective. Players as well as coaches say stupid things all the time. Did Suggs say anything about Flacco that we have not at least thought about once the Colt game ended, hmm I wonder if Troy can play after a game like that? Now back to reality, I am sorry Troy lost his chance because of an serious illness I wish him all the best. Would we be 3-3 with him at the helm, who knows. If Troy were 1-5 we'd yelling to put the rookie in. Joe is the QB so let's ride it out this year like we all thought after training camp and see how we add the right pieces for next year.
I hope someones cleans Hines Ward clock cleanly soon.
