It wasn't pretty, but the Ravens don't care
Miami gave the game away, and the Ravens tried to give it back. Fortunately for the Ravens, somebody had to win today, and they walked away with a 27-13 victory. It wasn't pretty, downright sloppy at times, but the Ravens don't care. And they shouldn't. When you lose three straight games, you take a win any way you can get it. This was a big win for the Ravens, and they can win the next two before the schedule becomes more difficult. The Ravens re-established their running game, and the locker room was extremely upbeat after the game. I'm still waiting for rookie quarterback Joe Flacco to prove he can win a game against a quality opponent, and he'll get his shot when the Ravens starting taking on NFC East opponents.

Joe is improving when the o-line gives him a chance.I did'nt think this game was that boring;nice power runs, crisp catching, hunting down wildcats,NO INT'S! I'm starting to wonder about the pass rush along the long haul here. One more thing, the refs stayed out of it for the most part.

Jim Leonhard = RUDY!
Big Mike, this guy plays with heart, comes to play every week, undersized, and is a classic over-achiever.
RUDY! RUDY! RUDY!

I didn't think the game was that bad, at least not on the Ravens part.It wasn't the pretty but it sure wasn't in anyway ugly.

Winning ugly on the road is the Raven'
s mantra. Except that they have lost the last seven in a row, until yesterday.
Once again the D was strong against the run - Ronnie Brown wasn't mentioned much during the contest. If we can make teams one-dimensional then that is half the battle. Unfortunately, the strategy won't work against a great passing team like Indy, Dallas, Philly, etc.
Regardless, they will need to win against Oakland this week, ugly or not.

No it wasn't pretty, but; not the ultra ugly of last week. Improvement on special teams that helped a lot.
Front line helping the run and Joe is getting better. I loved that they went for 4th down plays and that they let Joe throw more. Still playing a little scared but; it's better.
They really need to work on ball handling, jsut got really lucky this week. We don't need luck we need to secure the ball....
Next week will see!!

What game were you watching Preston? Miami gave the game away? The Ravens tried to give it back? What I saw was the Ravens steamrolling the Dauphins with a punishing running attack and a VERY efficient Joe Flacco.

I'm a little disturbed by this remark "I'm still waiting for rookie quarterback Joe Flacco to prove he can win a game against a quality opponent"....granted, the games against Pitt and Tenn ended up in the loss column, but was either one of those losses on Flacco? He drove us down the field in Pitt, late in the 4 th qtr for a game tying TD. And last time I checked, Flacco was not on the field when the D let the great Kerry Collins drive the Titans almost 80 yards for the decisive score.
And everyone needs to get off the NFC East. The Giants have yet to beat a quality opponent, the Skins lost to the winless Rams at home and got taken to the limit by the hapless Browns. The Eagles are banged up and over rated and the Cowboys are long on talent, short on heart and coming apart at the seams.

I was traveling yesterday and listened to the game on Sirius radio. The Dolphins own broadcasters said it best when they said " They Ravens punched the Dolphins in the mouth". After listening to the game, it certainly didn't sound like the Ravens tried to give it away. Can you elaborate Mike?
