Harbaugh was right -- now let's move on
Enough already about Ravens coach John Harbaugh providing the Miami Dolphins with bulletin-board material. He was right when talking about Cam Cameron not having material to work with in Miami last year. The Dolphins have been an organization is disarray for a long time. Their owner has brought in different coaches, and was talking about selling the team last season.
So, how would anybody like to coach in that situation? There certainly weren't a lot of fans in the stands when the Ravens played in Miami last season. NFL players shouldn't need motivation to play hard, nor should anyone else who gets paid a good salary. If it takes a statement from Harbaugh to get the Dolphins to play hard Sunday, then they have problems, and it won't be Cameron's fault this season.

Agreed. On the flip side, I liked Suggs's comment about this game "making or breaking" our season. If the rest of the team brings that level of urgency to Miami, I think they'll win. Maybe even win convincingly.

The fact that Miami has turned over half their roster from last year certainly suggests that the new regime in Miami also didn't think there was that much for Cameron to work with last year as well.

I think the league is more balanced then ever this year, with the exception of on a view teams. The old cliche is more prevelant this year than any other. "On any Given Sunday". That being said, I don't think it's wise to piss and or give any team in the NFL any additional incentive to increase their motivation for a Sunday contest. I will only sya that this is a rookie cosch mistake that I hope does not translate into a loss.

Harbaugh may have been right, but he was dead wrong to say it publicly, had he thought about it I would bet he would not have said it even though he believes it, and yes he was right, just like he has very little to work with with the ravens offense!

The Miami folks could say the same thing about Billick and Baltimore last year. The Ravens were 5-11 and should have been 3-13.

They had enough to work with last year to beat the Ravens and cost Billick his job. During Billick's entire tenure, the Ravens only had a handful of games in which they were not competitive, and none as bad as last week's beat down on both sides of the ball. The Colts could have really run it up. As far as I'm concerned, the Jury is out on Harbaugh. Another performance like last week and Biscotti will be rethinking his decision. The Brian Billick era was over to be sure, but I think the Ravens should have brought in an experienced head coach for this veteren team.

Like WHOM Gil Jr.? There weren't any decent experienced head coaches available; unless you wanted to try to recycle Marty Schottenheimer for the 100th time. No thank you.

I agree with Brent. Cam had nada to work with . Holliday is po'd because Harbaugh was right. By the way, when is Corey Ivy going to retire. He may be the worst db in the league...
