Ravens ready for prime time?

We might see how much of a hold new coach John Harbaugh actually has on the Ravens tonight. In the recent past, the Ravens have embarrassed themselves in nationally televised games. But I'm not just talking about their play. I'm talking about their behavior -- the taunting, ref baiting, dancing -- all the things that contribute to a bad image. When Harbaugh became the head coach, he talked about changing that type of behavior. Well, we'll find out in a couple of hours, on national TV in a game against a heated rival. It will be interesting to see if the Ravens can control themselves.

I was wondering the same thing. Let the Stellers do the talking, dancing, cheap shots, etc. I often thought the Ravens bad-boy behavior was more the result of lack of focus than anything else.

thanks for all the updates

i completely agree. billick had 0 control over the team as everyone who watched that ravens patriots game last year could see. ( bart scott throwing a reff flag into the stands) and if they do act up its going to be a long hard week of practice for them

As long as our D holds up, I think we'll be fine. It certainly seems like a New Era in B-More.

I'm worried as well. The Ravens seem awfully allergic to Monday nights lately.

So far we haven't heard any trash talking from the Ravens this week or any other yet this year and tha is a big breath of fresh air already, so let's hoe that this new regime has put a muzzle on that stuff! I have always said in the past that if the games were playe with a microphone the Ravens would be super bowl champs every year, but I think Harbaugh has earned the respect of this team and changed it's vocal behavior and th eonly dancing we will see is on dancing with the stars when Ray retires!

I have a feeling we'll see more control tonight than in the past. As evidence, look at how the players and coaching staff dealt with McGahee's bleeding eye last week against Cleveland. In the past, there would have been pushing, shoving, perhaps even a fight. But instead, Laron McClain came in, and the Ravens just ran the next play for a touchdown.

In other words, they acted like professionals. Very nice to see.

Mavens always lose their cool....that's why they're ray-ray and ed weed's team and not Harbooger's. The true colors always come out when they're losing....a few losses in a row, and the "superstars" will be out for the season with a toenail infection or an earache.

I don't have a problem when they are upset that they lost. Everyone said their behavior was poor after we lost to the Patriots on monday night, but I would rather see them upset, breaking equipment, showing they care about the result.

Cameron has been good for a trick play in each of the 1st 2 games. Interested to see if Harbaugh pulls out all stops on Special Teams tonight. He has to have something up his sleeve from all those years in Philly? Thoughts??

Good call-early second and two unsportsmanlike penalties. Forget Harbaugh! How come Lewis and Neal don't do something to make their teammates toe the line?

How much do you all love Cam? He is EASILY the best off season acquisition and the best thing to happen to the Ravens in awhile. Keep watching him and his play calling. It doesnt get much better.

Coach blew his first game by not challenging that non TD - ended up costing us 4 points and the game.

It was totally a TD - even the tv crew was talking about it at the half. We should have won!!! ARGHHHHHHHH!

Flacco looked great to me - made a lot of really good decisions and deserved the win.

A crying shame.
