Noisy practice

Even with the sun shining, the Ravens practiced indoors today but they had a purpose.

To get ready for the loud dome in St. Louis, coach John Harbaugh had crowd noise piped into the indoor field house for practice. The Ravens’ previous coach, Brian Billick, decided against this during his nine seasons with the team because he believed it wore the players down mentally during practice.

“It’s better than going out there Saturday and getting the crowd noise and being shocked with it,” Harbaugh said. “We had a few issues that we improved on.”

It WOULD take an overly analytical idiot like Billick to percieve such a strategy as a bad idea... 2 pts for the new skipper!

Wow...I hope they put ear plugs in Heaps and Gaithers ears....adding that noise could put those two pansies out the whole season.

Stop comparing Billick with Harbaugh. It's anew coach and his has his way, period!! If it works great if not Billick want be back, so get used to it.

I'm sure you'd have no trouble calling Heap and Gaither pansies to their faces, right Mikey?

I'm sure the Edward Jones Dome will be rocking for this HUGE preseason match-up between these bitter rivals. Harbaugh is a genius!!!

I generally avoid getting into name-calling with other posters but feel compelled to reply to P. Crewe.  You can disagree all you want with Brian Billick's play-calling, strategy, etc., and you may even express your personal aversion to his personality, but by calling him an idiot, you reveal yourself to be the term by which you refer to Mr. Billick.

Oh my God I hope they remembered to drive Cody atleast 9 miles away from the noise so it does'nt shatter his tibula......dont they know sound waves can shatter eggshells...they cant afford to lose him ...who would take his permanent spot on ir, and what about that episode of unsolved mysteries and the guienness book.

All,

Let's face it, Mr. Preston has a deep man-love for Brian Billick...he can't let more than a few days pass without uttering his name. Not that there's anything wrong with that Mike!!!
Love him or hate him, Billick won a Super Bowl. I doubt we'll see the day that Harbaugh repeats that feat.

"Ray" you sir, are also an overly analytical idiot - comment on the article (crowd noise) not the individual posts.

Geez, birds of a feather...

Hey, Marty, it's Jamison Hensley's post. But don't let that get in your man love for Mike Preston by complaining about him whenever you can.

being a pansie is relative, Mike is not getting paid millions to sit on the sidelines with a hangnail either!

While you all are fencing, I thought I'd pass on the information that two ESPN analysts pick the Ravens to win no more than 5 games this season.

P.Crewe: Sorry if I violated your rules of blogdom. And what are you talking about, anyway? You are one blog topic behind. Keep up, Doc (or whichever one you are).

Shas,

I stand corrected, it was Jamison's post. My apologies to Mr. Preston...but while we're pointing out mistakes, what exactly does "don't let that get in your man love for Mike Preston" mean? At least, while I made a mistake, my grammar was correct. People in glass houses should not cast stones, buddy.
