Rolle to miss start of camp

Samari Rolle will miss the first few days of training camp to attend his father’s funeral, a Ravens spokesman said.

Rolle’s father died of a heart attack last week, according to the spokesman.

Rolle, a starting cornerback, is scheduled to return to the team after the funeral service Saturday. Veterans are expected to report to training camp Wednesday.

Condolences to Samari Rolle, who has always handled himself with class both at Tenneessee and here. Here's hoping he bounces back from the epilepsy and has a strong season. We saw what losing him did to our defense last year. One of my best friends who moved to Nashville about ten years ago has met Samari numerous times and said he's a class act all the way.Has anybody heard anything about how McAlister is doing?

My nephew works for the Orioles and met McAlister on Saturday night. He said they ran around on the field together, so I guess C-Mac is just fine.
