Ravens on the mend

Wide receiver Demetrius Williams, tight end Daniel Wilcox, linebacker Dan Cody and cornerback David Pittman practiced today after missing the team’s previous OTA (organized team activity) with a variety of injuries.

Williams’ return was perhaps the most eye-opening, especially after the fourth-round pick in the 2006 draft hauled in a high pass from quarterback Kyle Boller between cornerback Corey Ivy and safety Jim Leonhard and raced 50 yards to the end zone this morning.

“It’s a good feeling being back,” said Williams, who said he is fully recovered from a sore Achilles’ tendon. “I’m working with the guys and getting a feel for what they’re doing and what I’m doing.

“I feel a little bit rusty right now just because I’m trying to get my legs back under me from not running,” he continued. “So in that aspect, I feel a little rusty, but I’ll be all right.”

Cody (foot) also practiced, taking his turns during 7-on-7 passing drills. Wilcox (toe surgery) and Pittman (foot) appeared to participate in individual drills. Offensive tackle Adam Terry (ankle surgery) was also limited.

Cody's still here?

Somewhat of a tangential comment, but if Terry is still limited, it means that the only way Cam Cameron can know what Terry is capable of doing is by looking at film. And if after looking at film Cam Cameron -- as he is quoted as having said on the official Ravens site -- honestly believes that Adam Terry is a better RT than LT, then there is something very very wrong somewhere.

I'm with Jon. why do we still have Cody? he's a lemon that is always injured, just as this blog states. He's coming off an injury. pointless to keep him.

yes believe it or not he's still here. i say if he's not 100% this year then draft him. He's taken up more space on the bench than the Gatorade guy.

I'm with you jon dey. I read Cody in the article and thought it was a misprint. Unfortunately he has yet another injury but apparently it's minor. I hope this kid has a change of luck and is finally able to be on the field for a whole season. I remember something similar happening to a WR out of Miami a few years ago named Yattil Green.

I had been looking out for Dan Cody's name, and am happy that he may get a chance to play more than 1 game this year. I' pullin' for him.
Whatever happened to another guy in a similar situation, TE Trent Smith?
