No timetable for Ogden

Jonathan Ogden did not show for the Ravens' manadatory minicamp Friday, and it is unknown when the 11-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle will make a decision on retirement.

"J.O.’s a unique situation right now," Harbaugh said. "I don’t think you can think of it in terms of an absence, being here or not being here. He’s trying to figure out what his future is. He talked to Ozzie [Newsome, general manager]. There’s really nothing new to report. We’ll play that one as it goes."

Besides Ogden, linebacker Terrell Suggs (franchise tag) and tight end Quinn Sypniewski (season-ending knee injury) were the only players who were not on the field Friday.

Jamison please i beg of you and mike to stop reporting on a guy who doesn't what to play anymore. It's getting real old that we keep talking about him. Lets start focusing on the guys who are here and want to play instead of a guy who doesn't

If it's a mandatory mini-camp, is Suggs being fined for his absence? Or has he not signed the franchise tag offer yet?

And yeah, Ogden's gonna retire. Nothing to see here, move along...

He can't be fined because he hasn't signed his franchise offer yet. I made the same mistake yesterday and was corrected.I just can't understand why they keep reporting on a guy that lost his desire to be play anymore. Please just let him go off in the sunset. he had a great career but enough is enough.

Bob- for once , i agree with you on Ogden . The football season ended what , almost 5 months ago ? And he still hasnt decided ? This weekend mini-camp was mandatory , i dont understand Raven's logic of not forcing Ogden to make up his mind . Suppose Ogden doesnt show up at start of Training Camp? I dont know what Ogden thinking here , but my guess he doesnt want work at Mini and Training Camps . Is Ogden actually going to show a week before Opening Game and say he ready to play ? Ogden , you were one of best LT of past dozen years , we are proud and thank you . Please make your decision before they make it for you .
