Ravens, Jason Taylor dancing? Not at this point
A local radio station reported that the Ravens have had official talks with the Miami Dolphins about acquiring defensive end Jason Taylor. But one team official told The Sun that the report was "untrue."
Taylor, who recently competed on "Dancing with the Stars," is looking to get out of Miami. According to The Miami Herald, the San Diego Chargers have talked to the Dolphins about Taylor.
One obstacle in Taylor coming to the Ravens is new offensive coordinator Cam Cameron. When Cameron was the head coach of the Dolphins last season, his relationship with Taylor was described as "frosty."

I don't see Jason Taylor ever playing for the Ravens.

This would be a real coup for the Ravens. Jason Taylor is one of the premier pass rushers in the game. To get him for only a second or third round pick is a steal.
The relationship between Taylor & Cameron should not matter. Cameron is not the head coach here so Taylor doesn't have to report to Cameron for anything unless the Ravens put him at TE.

Did anyone really believe that "report" had any credibility given who was putting it out there? Right after she had finished telling everyone what a great relationship Jason Taylor has with Cam Cameron, Anita Marks had a reporter from a Palm Beach newspaper come on and say the complete opposite. Also, I find it extremely hard to believe Ozzie Newsome would give up a 3rd round pick for a 34-year old defensive end when the Ravens are in a semi-rebuilding mode. The only way I could see such a deal being made is if Ray Lewis truly has Steve Bisciotti's ear and somehow convinces him to do it against Ozzie's wishes. If that comes to pass, then this franchise really is in trouble.

Just what the Ravens need; another prima donna to play along side the biggest prima donna of all, Ray Lewis.

I would trade a #3 for Taylor. First you need to confirm if his heart is still in the game. That has come into question after his nancy boyish remarks on ESPN.

Jason Tayolr is a great player. Any defense would be better with him. San Diego makes more sense considering he is a "hollywood" guy now. The Ravens will wish they had him when T. pryce goes down week 2 with a injury.

The guy had 11 sacks on a 1-15 team.
The year before he was defensive MVP.
He can still play. He can also dance, a lot better than T Sizzle. Hopefully he can help us dance our way back to the SB.

He would be worth the trade for a 3rd or 4th round pick. I can see him coming here.

What does Cam Cameron have to do with preventing Taylor from coming to Baltimore? The last I checked Taylor played defense.

Antwan Barnes is the TRUTH! FAST STRONG AND NASTY. We dont need J Taylor and his huge contract, we already have Pryce (who has health issues and isnt as good an all around defender) Taylor is big money and he has a couple seasons left at best. Not worth it. And dont even try to compare him to Ray. They may be both Prima Donnas but Ray keeps all the defensive guys playing their butts off. THAT is why Ray is still so valuable. Yes, he isnt superman anymore, but he is still a heck of a linebacker, and as I just said, his intangibles elevate the rest of the squad enormously. The Baltimore Defense mentality and swagger is the Ray Lewis mentality and swagger. If only he would stop dancing and preaching I'd actually like the guy. That being said, if Troy Smith or Flacco is ready to be a productive QB this season, I would be inclined to possibly trade a 3rd rounder for him to make a super bowl push. But ONLY, I repeat ONLY if we have a QB thats ready to play playoff football. Otherwise, save the cash. Oh, and by the way, all accounts suggest T Pryce has been a great calming influence in the locker room. So he does have some immeadiate value beyond pressuring the QB. Check out his remarks about the training camp brawl earlier in the month.

Exactly man. Ray Ray is annoying as @$#% to listen to, but man is he still a force on Sundays. Even in practice he takes it to another notch

Really?!? A third round pick for a guy who has maybe 2 good years left in him. (Good years, not great years) Remember, most third round picks make the team. Do you really think in a couple years Taylor would give us what a third round pick would give over the course of a career? He isn't worth more than a sixth round pick. If he was, he would have been dealt before or during the draft.

No. We don't need this guy on our team, period. We have Pryce, who is still great when healthy. We have Edgar Jones, Antwaan Barnes, and Prescott Burges, all of whom we only got as rookies last season, and all of whom we have barely scratched the surface of what they could provide our Defense.
Not to mention Ray Lewis, Bart Scott, Jarrett Johnson, Terrell Suggs, Kelly Gregg, and Haloti Ngata. Oh, and let's not forget that new young blood from the U. We've got plenty of LBs, DBs, and DLs now. We need to focus on other areas, the D should be just fine.
Oh...and p.s., don't be surprised when Kyle Boller comes alive in Cam's offense, and takes us to a winning record/ the playoffs in 2008. Peace.

One obstacle is Taylor's frosty relationship with Cameron?
Hey, fellas, Taylor plays defense; Cameron coaches offense. Given Taylor's accomplishments on a 1-15 team and Cameron's, um, role with that same team, who cares how frosty Cameron is?
Now if someone said one obstacle was the cap jail the Ravens find themselves prisoner to, ...

I understand envy. It happens to me alot because of my model good looks and washboard abs.
I just gotta tell ya though. When Ray Lewis does that dance coming outta the tunnel, gettin his guys hyped up (even though he's probably tired of the dance, they're tired of the dance, my 1 year old is tired of the dance), he's reminding me that before he got here, the best thing we had was a Testaverde to Michael Jackson catch down the sideline. The best thing we had was grumpy Marchibroda trying to be Lombardi without the cajones. The best thing we had was watching Slash switch his way out of the local gay bar and burn us on a reverse for 30 yards.
Ray Lewis plays on a team and he didn't win the Super Bowl by himself.... but we didn't have a Super Bowl trophy before he got here, we didn't have a top ten defense year after year after year before he got here, we didn't have defensive Pro Bowlers year after year before he got here, and we didn't put fear into the likes of the the Steelers, Chargers, Cowboys, or Patriots before he got here.
I don't jump on bandwagons, but Ray Lewis deserves a whole heap of credit for what he has done for this franchise and, thus, Baltimore City. He's the reason why I've moved, but continue to root for the Ravens, display my love for the Ravens, and support the Ravens even if they went 3-13. Ray Lewis is an Atlas holding the Ravens franchise on his shoulders. He deserves your undying support, because without him, the Ravens would suck like your opinion.

why do people not look at a student dropping out to play and not allow that. instead it seems to be the unwritten rule that you can drop out with no degree to play the NFL. this should not be tolerated
