More from Matt Ryan ...
Wherever Boston College product Matt Ryan ends up, he's hoping to play right away. But didn't the Ravens learn their lesson by throwing Kyle Boller into the fire too soon? Boller's name was presented to Ryan, who said he's not worried about being rushing into a starting role.
"I don't think you can worry about it too much," he said. "Whatever the situation presents, you've got to go out there, you've got to take full advantage of it. If I'm there playing from the first snap of the season, I'm gonna go out there and learn from it.
"Maybe I'm not very good, maybe I am very good. I'm not sure how it's going to play out. Either way, whether you have success or you stink, you've got to learn from those experiences and make it work for yourself."
He said he'll have no problem entering a camp and having to compete with veterans for playing time.
"I'm not going to lie to you, sometimes there is a little bit of awkwardness, in guys that you're competing with," he said. "But at the same time, it's part of the business. You have to come in, go out there and do whatever you can to play."
