Vincent
Apparently starting right guard Keydrick Vincent has been told by team officials he will be invited to training camp. There was speculation that Vincent might be cut during the offseason, but he will be in training camp challenging for a starting position. Meanwhile, left guard Edwin Mulitalo said he is completely healed from the triceps injury of a year ago and ready to play.

So are we supposed to be excited or something?Chris Chester played his heart out this past season and has showed tremendous potential despite being undersized. Yet a guy who has never played up to his potential and is blocking the path for some of the younger guys to step in and become full time starters is coming back. If Billick gives Vincent his old job back it'll say a lot about his inability and hesitation to develop younger players on the offensive line.

I think Edwin Mulitalo has had his day and should be no more than a backup next season. Vincent has not provided the spark I thought he would and should be cut. The offensive line for next season should be (left to right) Ogden, Brown, Chester, Rimph and Terry. Does anyone agree with this assessment?

Mike,
I love the blog. Even a little bit of Ravens news is much better than a ton of Orioles news. Is Luke Pettigout a fit for the Ravens? I see that the Giants have released him, and we may be able to get him relatively cheap with an incentive-laden deal due to his injury. He's only 30, so we could get a few decet years out of him. I just don't know what kind of player he is. On a sports message board I frequent, none of the Giants fans are happy with the move, which tells me he wasn't bad.

Ogden, Brown, Chester, Rimpf, Terry
That sounds pretty good to me, with just two possible issues:
Is Chester experienced enough to take over line-calling duty? That's the Center's job, but so far Chester has been playing Guard. Anyway, I would like to see Chester get a fair chance to compete vs. Mike Flynn for the starting Center job.
Do we know whether Rimpf is ready to start? We haven't seen him play very much, so he's a question mark.
