Adam Terry

The second year left offensive tackle did a nice job filling in for Jonathan Ogden. Steelers outside linebacker Joey Porter didn't have a sack or a hurry. Terry, though, has to improve his run blocking. He was decent at the point of attack, but failed to finish off the block. He has a tendency to get too high, and lose leverage. He has several illegal procedure penalties, but that could be expected starting on the road for the first time this season.

Except for the two plays involving Jamal Lewis, Porter was invisible. That tells me enough about the job Adam Terry did. His performance gives Billick the option to give JO another two weeks healing with little fear of it hurting the team.

The whole line needs improvement on run blocking, not just Terry. However, the superb pass protection makes up for it.

Any word on JO's status?

(Will they just sit JO for the Buffalo game, even if he was well enough to play, since Terry did a decent job at Pittsburgh?)

This line has has been such a breath of fresh air. I used to expect sacks when our q.b. dropped to pass and absolutely no holes on the run. They deserve as much, if not most, of the credit for this year's success. Mcnair wouldn't have survived past week 8 without him.

Pardon me while I digress from the discussion of Adam Terry and the O line. Jamison Hensley. In his Xmas Eve scouting report prior to Ravens – Steelers game 2, he was so smugly and arrogantly certain that a repeat victory by the Ravens was all but impossible. His sage prediction: “If the Ravens were at full strength, they might be able to pull this one out… but they’re not and they won’t.” Talk about egg on one’s face. So much for the girly-man pundits of the Baltimore Sun. They know who they are, and they each have jobs waiting for them at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Rest JO. 1/2 and 1/2 for our 2 QB's. 1/2 for Heap. 1/2 for J L. etc.Who ever discovered our punter should be commended. Our new kickoff and punt returner seems to do everthing right. You know Billick can't believe the job the little big man has done.

Sit everybody, huh?

JO's injured. I'd be for sitting him if he's even only 90% but if he's 100% he should play along with everyone else for as long as the Ravens need them on the field. This isn't the undefeated Colts, struggling with a decision to go after history or stay fresh for the playoffs. The Ravens NEED to win this game. A SD loss gives them home field throughout the playoffs... but only if they win. An Indy win means nothing to their standing... but only if they win.

With all of the "Superbowl" articles in the Sun and now fans calling to pull the players, you'd think the Ravens had byes all the way to the big game.
