Michael Vick and Vince Young
Quite a few Ravens have been asked if playing Titans quarterback Vince Young prepared them for Atlanta quarterback Michael Vick. There really isn't much of a comparison. Both are elusive, but they have different styles. Young is big, has a strong arm and a loping stride. Vick is shorter, but quicker and more explosive. Few athletes can change direction like Vick. Once you get your hands on Vick, he can be brought down. Young is so big that it's hard to bring him down unless you're in a good position. Vick has often been criticized for his passing ability, but he is just as effective as most quarterbacks in the league.
Mike Preston has been with The Baltimore Sun since 1983. Prior to becoming a columnist in 2000, he covered the Ravens for four years. Preston is a native of Essex and a graduate of Towson State University, where he played football.

I agree. Vick has had an impressive year throwing so far, but last week he threw 2 interceptions and was 16/40 against the Browns, at Atlanta. I think he takes advantage of slow defenses and can only throw when teams over commit to the rush and spy. The Ravens though have one of the fastest defenses in the league with a couple of the most versatile players in the league with Terrell Suggs and Adalius Thomas. I am confident in our team's ability to use speed to shut down Vick and force him to make bad throws. Going to be a good day for Ed Reed and hopefully the heart of the defense will be back with Ray Lewis.

I listened to BB on a radio show around 11/15/06. He just exalted the hidden abilities of KB to simulate Mike Vick and Vince Young on the practice squads. He did an immediate about face and then said that no one can simulate MV or VY in practice, you get your experience being in their division. Mr. BB forgot that Cordell Steward gave us hell in our division. Is he available. Why are we keeping KB around anyway? He is a college QB. The NFL will always be smarter and faster then the best abilities of KB. Why are we not working on the our QB of the future. It is clear that the only thing that KB is going to be in the NFL is a very successful head coach and the son that BB never had.

i dont agree mike vick is much better, he has a stronger arm and faster than vince young. The only way the Ravens are going to win is to put Reed as a spy on mike vick and put kris mcallister on Alge Crumpler. but we are lucky because almost every playmaker on their team is INJURED. Mike will have more than 100yards rushing and more than 200 yards passin in beating the Ravens
