Dan Cody
Outside linebacker/defensive end Dan Cody is expected to get his first live action Sunday against the Falcons. The second-year player, who missed all of last season with a severe knee injury, will play on special teams and in passing situations. Regardless of the substitutes, they always play on the Ravens' defense. Of course, the Ravens put an emphasis on athleticism, but there is more. The Ravens have a reputation of being a great defensive team, and there are high expectations by the players. Those expectations make everyone play harder and better. Cody still has a lot to learn, but he'll have a decent performance Sunday. Why? Because it's expected.

Great game! It was the first time I got some hand-me-down tickets, awesome seats along 30 yd line for the third qtr action. The crowd outside and inside were great folks, even after the naps we took for most of the first half. Brian got out his Sam's Club card and got a megadeal. Game MVP with vintage Jamal a close second. I've been to several games in the NY area over the years, not a family type atmosphere, but the Baltimore fans are all class and if I get a chance to go again, I'm in.

It's time to sit Samari Rolle down. He has given up too many long balls lately.

I agree that Samari Rolle should warm up the bench. Offenses are picking on him just too much.

I agree with Rick Smith. Rolle's head is not in the game. He looks distracted, confused, unsure of himself, and is somewhat lackadaisical in play. Watching him, I sometimes wonder which team he's on (blowing coverages or watching as receivers catch passes on him with weak and ineffectual break-up attempts, and no attempt at all to assist – just standing there – as an injured Ray Lewis single-handedly tried and failed to hold a RB out of the end zone during the Cinn game). He’s the weak link in our defense. Sit him down for a while, and put one of the fire-breather back-ups in there. A stint on the bench may be what Samari needs to get him out of his funk.
