Trap Game

I keep hearing that the Cleveland game Sunday is a trap game for the Ravens. I could see that happening last year, but not this season. This is a different team with a different mission. They want to prove that last year was a fluke. I could possibly see the Ravens being overconfident if they had beaten the Colts and Patriots back to back, but it was the Bucs and Raiders. This is an AFC North game, the first of the season, and the Ravens have something to prove after being embarrassed in Cleveland at the end of last season. The Ravens should cover the spread.

i see the ravens destroying cleveland. trap game my butt. these guys are fully aware that this is their first division game and they know what the deal is. i would like to see an offensive statement made this weekend before we come home for a pretty tough game against a good all-around team in the chargers. i was glad to see ogden so upset last week. the line needs to show major improvement on the right side. we have pro bowlers on offense and these guys really want it. the last 2 weeks have been unacceptable for them and this week they will look to right their offensive wrongs. i cant wait. GO RAVENS!

Hello Mike,
I really believe this game is winnable, but if the
Ravens go into this game relaxed and thinking they are 3 and 0 will surely come away being 2 and 1.
Thank You
Vernon

The Ravens understand the importance of this game and what it will take to win. The Browns are beat up and havent been able to stop the run in either of their first two games. In addition, their secondary is one of the worst in the league and it doesnt help them that Baxter is playing hurt. However, something about this game scares me to death....most notably the Ted Washington-Mike Flynn match-up. I see Washington finally breaking out of his funk and making his presence felt early in the game. I also see the rest of the Browns' lineman and linebackers feeding off his energy and taking away the Ravens run game. This is where Fassell needs to step up and make adjustments to the passing game. Hitches, quick slants, and screens will be open all day and will force the Browns to take some of the pressure off. I just hope the coaching staff realizes this before its too late.

I think the talk of this being a trap game stems from the huge Week Four showdown with the San Diego Chargers. That being said, it looks like this team is honestly living the "One Game At A Time" mantra so often preached by coaches.

We'll see how badly Kellen Winslow wants to be on the field once Ed Reed makes him this week's Alvis Whitted...the sound from that collision made it all the way out here to Chicago.

I agree with BMORE. We cannot take the Browns lightly, even if they're horrendous. We need to treat every game the same. If we just give the ball to Jamal and let Steve and the D do their stuff, we'll be OK.

Too Tough for Trap Game - Don't expect the Browns to lay down for this one. Ravens will need to step it up two notches to get by.
I expect the offense to play much better on Sunday. But the freewheeling defence may get burned on a big play or two.

Winnable game if they play with any intensity. Like most rivalry game the Browns will try to play up to the Ravens. The only question is will the Ravens play as we know they can or will they step down to the Browns level.
