Marques Ogden

I don't know if the Ravens will re-sign guard Marques Ogden, but I've been impressed with him working out on the sidelines with older brother Jonathan. His feet are twice as quick as last season, his technique improved and he looks like he has dropped about 15 to 20 pounds. Marques is 25 years old and he could be a late bloomer. He played at Howard, a small university, and sometimes it takes longer for these guys to develop. I know the desire is there to succeed. When I spoke with the brothers earlier this week, Marques said he had been invited to try out for the Cowboys on the same day his father died, and he declined the invitation.

As for last year, Jonathan is over Marques being cut by the Ravens. It was just another problem the Ravens had coming out of training camp and going into the regular season a year ago. Jonathan said he was impressed by the number of Ravens' players and administrators that came to his father's funeral, and he was very appreciative. Like other issues that surrounded this team last season, everyone has moved on.

I would like to see Ogden and Ogden on the same side of the Offensive line or since that other side seems so shaky have one brother occupying space on both sides of the center. I thought even last year that he was clearly better than alot of the players the Ravens kept from the O line.

Moses McNair will bring this team to the promis land. Super bowl will be in Baltimore this year. If Billick could hire just 2 more coaches, Kicker coach and cheer leader coach, we will win it all. Vince L had 20 million dollar assistance coaches at Green Bay . Why not the Rav's.

An Ogden on each side provides a more balanced attack (pun intended).

And please, everyone pray to your deiity of choice for McNair's health.

Haven't heard him for awhile, but Sandusky on the radio sounds nothing like himself. What gives?

I was wondering how many time did Boller trip over his on feet against the Eagles?

The current Orioles need to take a good look at how the Ravens as a team responded to Jonathan Ogden's fathers death. Any sports fan around here knows that once August rolls around it's all about the Ravens and the Orioles are forgotten. A great example of why this happens is the unfortunate death of JO's father. Over 20 guys went to the funeral. How many current Oriole players went to Elrod Hendricks funeral? 1, Melvin Mora. That was the last straw for me when I found out and now to see the way the Ravens players responded just makes it that much easier to love the Ravens. The Orioles need to go back and learn what it's like to be a team. Elrod Hendricks deserved so much more from the players and the organization.

No post about the game Mr. Preston? No post about how horrible Boller, even if it was only a comment in passing showing how you've "moved on"?

Oh that's right...Boller actually did WELL last night. Silly of me to think you'd post something praising him when he was actually decent in his role, even if its that of a backup.

It was really nice to see Devard Darling make some plays. How would you view the battle for the Raven's third WR?
