What, no Roberts? No Lee? Oh no, the Orioles are doomed, they might not win 50 games this year, two of their key guys not in the lineup for the first intrasquad game of the year! What on earth is MacPhail thinking???
Now that I've got that out of my system(and hopefully stolen some of wayne's or blancione's thunder), this first clash of the titans seems a bit tilted to the home side.

Interesting defensive shift by the Visitors team: two right fielders and no one in left....
But seriously, Jeff, at least you're covering the Orioles this morning, and I thank you for that. Mr. Schmuck, meanwhile, has precious little to say about baseball, and nothing whatsoever about the O's, while the little Schmucksters on his blog are reduced to debating "Wayne -- jerk or genius?"
Meanwhile, up in Boston, the eminent Mr. Nick Cafardo has written a very nice feature on the Orioles as the lead-in to his excellent weekly column. Read it here:
http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/articles/2011/02/27/orioles_finally_may_be_ready_to_buck_losing_trend/
...And read all the way to the end. There are a few additional Orioles nuggets awaiting those who do.
Enjoy!
