Looking for Tides going out
Just in case you are wondering, this is Norfolk's lineup tonight against the Syracuse Chiefs and former National Shairon Martis:
Andino SS
Gathright CF
Patterson RF
Bell DH
Moore 3B
Snyder 1B
Aubrey LF
Turner 2B
Hernandez C
Arrieta P
So Corey Patterson is in the lineup and so is Josh Bell. They aren't headed to Baltimore yet, so you can breathe easy for another night.
The only regular not in the Tides' lineup today is outfielder Jeff Salazar, but that likely has more to do with lineup configuration than anything related to the parent club.
Just figured we'd let you know.

So Patterson doesn't even bat lead-off for the Tides, and he's supposed to do that for the O's?
Why not call up Andino then? Yikes.

It worries me that nothing is being done. Any change would be a welcome one as far as I'm concerned. We need something to spark this team, even if it's a little spark. Looking at Patterson's stats, and seeing as he's hot, why not see if he can be that spark? At least it's worth a try.

This may be a possible exaggeration, but im going to go out on a limb and say that just Corey Patterson and Joey Gathright could cover the whole outfield.

Why do you say that about Salazar switch being a lineup configuration? He is a left handed hitter that plays left field. He was replaced by Michael Aubrey who is a left handed hitter that normally plays first base.

Jeff Z's reply: Salazar has been dealing with a minor groin issue. He pinch hit tonight.

There are plenty of flights from Syracuse to BWI with connections in NY, NJ, or Philly. No reason a guy can't play a night game in Syracuse one day and catch a flight to Baltimore to play a game the next night. Heck, if he wanted to, it's not all that far to rent a car and drive.

You are right Jack. But since teams often sit guys the day before they are called up (to prevent potential injuries) it was worth watching).
