Ravens open up a 16-0 lead

Whoa. Ravens WR Demetrius Williams was so open on the left side, he could have called for a fair catch on a pass from Joe Flacco that went for a 70-yard touchdown and a 16-0 lead in the second quarter. Until that play, the Ravens offense was not particularly effective although Baltimore had scored following a 46-yard punt return by Jim Leonhard that put the ball on the Raiders' 17-yard line. The Ravens wound up punching it in to make it 9-0 early in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, the Raider offense is absolutely inept. Oakland finished the first quarter with minus-2 yards and the Raiders have resigned themselves to hopelessly running on third-and-long.
