Cowboys without Romo for a while, hold their breath on Pacman
Speaking of a game of attrition, the Cowboys will be without Tony Romo for three or four games because of a broken pinkie finger he suffered early in overtime during the Dallas loss to Arizona Sunday. While it's certainly not a good thing for the Cowboys, it shouldn't be devastating because they do have veteran Brad Johnson as a backup. Johnson led Tampa Bay to a Super Bowl victory. However, the Cowboys pass protection better get a whole lot better because Johnson doesn't have the mobility of Romo and the Cardinals were hounding Dallas's star QB all day.
Meanwhile, on the Adam "Pacman" Jones front, there is a question as to whether the recent hotel fracas where the cornerback got into an altercation with his own bodyguard violates terms of a Georgia probabtion that required Jones to avoid alcohol-related incidents. While Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones keeps insisting that Pacman Jones didn't violate any provisos that allow him to play, the NFL's own investigation continues.
