Kentucky Derby rundown

What I know about picking horses, you could fit in a tea cup and still have room left over for Simon Cowell's ego. But with the 134th Kentucky Derby nearly upon us, I went looking for some good advice to pass along. Well, I guess it's good advice if you cash a ticket, so let's call it apparent informed advice.

This come from Anthony Stabile of a Web site called vegasinsider.com that deal with sports wagering information. Stabile gives a horse-by-horse rundown.   And to broaden your perspective, here's still another horse-by-horse preview from covers.com.

The early line on the 20-horse field has Big Brown (right), starting out of the No. 20 gate, as the favorite at 3-1, followed by Colonel John at 4-1 and Pyro at 6-1.  A sentimental choice will be Visionaire (about 20-1) because he's trained by Michael Matz of Barbaro fame.
