O's lose but starting pitching still okay

The silver lining from last night's 8-1 Orioles loss to Tampa Bay is that the O's continue to get decent-to-strong pitching from their starters, including guys like Matt Albers who has been asked to fill in.

Albers went six innings giving up three runs before the bullpen buckled.  A fair part of that was Bob McCrory, just up from Norfolk, having a tough opening in the majors with a couple of hits and walks.  Then Dennis Sarfate couldn't bail him out.

Interesting April in the AL East.  Tampa Bay and Baltimore are both three games above .500, just behind first-place Boston.  The two teams that were expected to battle for fifth place in the division play the current series tie-breaker at Camden Yards in an early game, 12:35 p.m.  The Orioles pitch lefty Brian Burres, who hasn't given up a run in his last two starts.  In a bit of weird scheduling, the O's take off for the West Coast after a three-game home stand that was sandwiched between two long road trips -- this next one takes them to Anaheim, Oakland and Kansas City.
