Dale Sr. kidnapped, returned to Frederick Wawa (really)

Not sure this made the Sun's police blotter -- I doubt it unless we're doing Silly Crimes of the Week -- but I wanted to bring to your attention the case of a kidnapped Dale Earnhardt Sr. in Frederick.

The theft occurred at a Wawa convenience store where a five-foot standup cutout of Dale Sr. was propped up helping to sell candy bars or something. The Intimidator went missing on March 12 but was returned April 1. The cutout is scheduled to be auctioned off for charity.

The Web site, From the Marbles, did a pretty good job discussing all the talking points here (like how come the cutout was only five feet tall) so we'll just point you there.  Thanks to The Big Lead for pointing it out.
