Orioles win again, that's six in a row
This is getting scary. In a good kinda way.
Not only did the Orioles win their sixth straight today in Texas matching their longest winning streak of all last season but they did it easily, 8-1.
The starting pitching -- Brian Burres -- was solid, one run in six innings. The relief pitching was flawless, of course. And the offense was prolific. Luke Scott and Scott Moore had home runs and Aubrey Huff continued atoning for his off-season remarks by going 4-for-4 with four RBIs.

Comments
Brian's last name is spelled Burres - not Buress.

Thanks, sometimes we're going a little fast here. Where was that misspelling ... ah, I see it.

Now, how about as long as the O's are playing competently (not necessarily perfectly) the B'More Sun and it's writers show lots of support for the team?
I've been as frustrated as anyone else with the last 10 years, but every season is a new one. So far we have been blessed with a good early showing. So lets not jinx this thing or spoil the party by being too skeptical.
How about being an O's fan BEFORE being a cynic. I'm talking to myself as much as anyone else, so i'm not attacking you. Let's just be damned excited to be an Os fan for the time being!

Lee,
I'm absolutely thrilled for the fans. If you're referring to the comment about the starting pitcher, it was simply a recognition of the reality. If they can overcome the occasional lapse from a starter, great.

Bill--
mine was a general comment, not specifically aimed at you. i posted on your blog because, well, because you were writing about the win. i don't mean any offense.
hey man, when the o's are winning we're all brothers right?

Bill - remember these short-lived days of glory in first place, because they are destined to end. Shall I remind everyone that Kevin Millar would not be a 4th place hitter - or, gasp! - a 3rd place hitter for any other MLB ballclub. I'll end the discussion there ...

Let's see. The O's are on pace to win 138 games, the whole bullpen will go to the All Star game, and Huff will be the AL MVP.
You gotta love April.
