Frank Robinson 'Living Legend'

Former Oriole and Hall of Famer Frank Robinson is being honored along with some sterling, albeit unusual, company.

Robinson, the American League MVP in 1966 for the O's as well as the National League MVP for Cincinnati in '61, is being honored as a "Living Legend" along with six other luminaries by the Library of Congress. Only one of the others is even from the sports world, race driver Mario Andretti. The others are Civil Rights activist Julian Bond, jazz muscician Herbie Hancock, historian David McCullough and news broadcasters Cokie Roberts and Bob Schieffer.

The Living Legends Awards began in 2000 and honor a spectrum of figures who have made important contributions to America's heritage.

Cokie Roberts? Hmmm. Oh well. Congrats, Frank.
