Mike Mussina: World Series star

Want a quick laugh? Check out this clever brief from this week's Onion -- America's best satirical newspaper, for the uninformed -- titled "Mike Mussina convinced he has won a World Series."

I do believe someone else on the Sun also brought this up. Maybe it was in a forum... are you reading too much of Roch's forum?
Anyways when I first read it earlier this week I thought I had lost it. But then I came to my senses and remembered that he doesnt have a ring yet... the reason he left Bmore was to get a ring. Think it will ever happen?

Um...NO, it will never happen TERPS19!

TERPS19, it was a poster on Roch's blog who provided the link to the Onion for the Mussina piece. I wasn't sure if it was satirical because it was true or false. Mussina is very strange.

Did you see the link to "Steinbrenner Fires Tigers"?

That's brilliant on several levels.

The first clue that it's a joke is that Mussina says more than a couple of sentences in the "interveiw"...I am I a bad person for relishing in the fact that he doesn't have that WS ring?

Its amazing how many people fault Mussina for leaving Baltimore and consider him a traitor. Its time to end this nonsense once and for all. Fact is, Mussina took a home town discount (which resulted in flack from other senior ball players) with a promise that the Orioles would follow up in their next contract. The Orioles didnt negotiate fairly and Moose left. When Moose was here, they went to the American League Championship series. What have they done since?
