Ripken and Favre streaks compared

The comparisons between Cal Ripken Jr. and Brett Favre are inevitable in that both were ironmen of their respective sports.

Mike Ditka was on Mike & Mike this morning talking about this same thing. They both deserve all the credit in the world. Its hard to compare the two. Football is a dangerous sport. Look at how many QBs actually make it through 1 entire year without missing parts of any of the games. On the other hand, playing day in and day out and traveling at the same time, itself it very hard. In August is not unheard of to have 27 games in 30 days.

Capt,
The comparisons are inevitable and each in its own way is fantastically remarkable.
