Cricket streaker whacked and fined

You generally think of cricket as a genteel sport ... guys in white duds spending what seems like days tossing googlies and whacking wickets or whatever it is they do. Note to cricket players: Don't bother explaining. Some guy in Bermuda tried to do it once and it took me three rum swizzles just to get a handle on the googly part.

But this, any of us can understand -- streakers. A streaker crashed a cricket match in Australia and apparently annoyed one of those Aussie players. Well, you know those Down Under guys -- they don't mind taking an affirmative approach to such nonsense.

So here's a report on the streaker with a discretely blurred video. The streaker was fined $1,500 by an Australian magistrate who chastised the fellow with: "If you want to see how popular you are perhaps you should charge admission and see who turns up..." .
