Chad Johnson goofy (more than usual) at Pro Bowl
So many NFL stars opt out of playing in the Pro Bowl that you want to really commend the ones who do show up for a grinding week of Mai Tais, luaus and body surfing, not to mention the gorgeous sunsets and occasional breathtaking rainbow.
But Chad Johnson might have done himself more good by staying home. The Cincinnati Bengals receiver seems to have drifted from amusing (Riverdance end zone celebration) to oddly quirky (racing against a horse) to now wearing aluminum foil hats (as in he's hearing "voices").
This is actually about a whisper campaign that Johnson believes the Bengals -- perhaps even head coach Marvin Lewis -- have mounted against him.
Some actual quotes from Johnson in a story by FOXSports' Alex Marvez: "I think whatever happens in-house gets out. (The Bengals) have been stirring it for 16 weeks. ... I don't know where all those voices are now. I seem to be the only one speaking out."
And more on voices from Johnson in an article from ESPN's John Clayton: "But now I don't hear them. Where are you at now? It's time to let it out. The only voice I hear is mine."
Along with the odd talk, Johnson appears to have laid hands on an NFL public relations person.
