This dog day afternoon turned out better for Patty Hearst

In the Where are they Now category, the answer is:

"Showing ribbon-winning dogs at the Westminster Kennel Club Show"

The question is:

 "Whatever became of Patty Hearst?"

The heiress, who became a household name in the 1970s after she was kidnapped by a radical group -- the Symbionese Liberation Army -- participated in a bank holdup and spent a couple of years in prison, just rode the coattails of her French bulldog, Diva, to a red ribbon at Westminster.

Diva won a ribbon in a competition within her breed as "Best of Opposite Sex" since a male won the blue ribbon.

French bulldogs have their own rich history. For instance, a Frenchie was one of a number of dogs that went down with the Titanic.
