That's why LeBron's the King
You may have missed it on last night's highlights, but Cleveland Cavalier star LeBron James showed again why he might be the best ambassador for the NBA since Michael Jordan.
James had a spectacular fourth quarter to rally the Cavs past the Toronto Raptors, 93-90, in Toronto.
James had 24 of his 39 points in the final quarter, some of them on absolutely stunning efforts, but there was a little more to it than that. Earlier in the game, James (right) was being taunted by some female fans, who apparently were teasing him for missing free throws. James' answered with his famous smile and when he engineered the rally, he gave it back to the razzers good-naturedly, telling them, "It's your fault."
That's one thing that still true about the NBA that separates it from other sports ... there's an intimacy between the fans and the players that makes such a back-and-forth entertaining. Of course, we all recall what happened in that infamous Indiana-Detroit incident a few years back when fan-player interaction escalated into violence. But in the hands of a master like LeBron James, even jeers from the crowd become the stuff for great entertainment.

There are more than a few of these stories. Spike Lee and Reggie Miller constantly were talking smack throughout games at the Garden. And then there's Jordan. When he dunked on John Stockton one time in Utah, a fan heckled him, asking him why he didn't he pick on someone his own size. Next play, Jordan dunked on Malone (???) and then asked the fan if he was tall enough. classic.

Jacob,
Even if it's not true ... and it certainly may be ... I love it. Thanks for the contribution.
