Prosecutors to Simpson: You call, we haul
That O.J. Simpson, he's such a card.
Perhaps inspired by his days in the movies, O.J Simpson allegedly assumed an alias -- referring to himself as "Miguel" -- and called one of his co-defendants in that Las Vegas memorabilia case to discuss the man's prior testimony at a hearing. Actually, the underlying Vegas charges are pretty serious -- kidnapping and robbery. It stems from an incident in which Simpson and friends allegedly burst into a hotel room where the former pro football star apparently believed some collectors were holding sports items that were rightfully his.
However, authorities have their own interpretation of such a telephone conversation. They call it violation of terms of release.
So, authorities in Florida took Simpson into custody and they're sending him back to Las Vegas, where they can figure out what to do there.
This is the best part. The name of the bail bond agency in North Las Vegas that Simpson used -- "You Ring We Spring."
