About last night, dear

It was Halloween, naturally, and Detroit Lions quarterback Jon Kitna eschewed the normal stuff at a charity costume event -- no Jack Sparrow pirate outfit, no cowboy or goblin get-up. Nope, Kitna and his wife came as a naked man and a fast-food server.

Huh, you say?

Well, it was a little bit of an inside joke unless you're a close follower of the Detroit Lions. Last year, Detroit defensive line coach Joe Cullen got into legal scrapes when he was arrested first for driving nude through a Wendy's drive-through and again a week later for driving under the influence. Cullen has been placed on probation and is going through remedial interventions.

Kitna is being criticized in Detroit for poking fun at Cullen but teammates and Cullen appear to be OK with it. Kitna, a born-again Christian, said he was the subject of lampoon costuming himself that depicted "Bible thumpers."  Kitna said it was all in jest and in the spirit of the evening.
