Dempsey does Q&A with Orioles fans today

That Rick Dempsey is a brave guy.

The former Orioles catcher, World Series MVP and current broadcaster will be at the Inner Harbor ESPN Zone today for a Q&A session with fans from noon to 1 p.m.  Dempsey is expected to discuss the team's future, including the minor leaguers Oriole followers may see next season, and sign autographs. This is the final such fan session of a series that has featured players and members of the Orioles' organization at the restaurant.

Ive always been a Rick Dempsey fan. I was lucky to sit and talk with him for a few minutes and he is a really standup gentleman. I miss his rain delay entertainment that he would provide us. I thought he was going to get the Dodger's head job, since he was done at their AAA club. But, that fell through, never heard why. He came back to the Orioles organization. He is always rumored to be in the running for the manager spot. But, he gets to be the maid of honor, but never the bride. Your thoughts on this?

I really don't know enough about Dempsey in the dugout to offer a decent opinion. The fans like him, that's for sure.

Well, the bar has been set pretty low with some of the previous occupants.
