Redskins-Ravens scrimmage tickets available

On a strictly football note, the Redskins and Ravens will scrimmage at M&T Bank Stadium from noon until about 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 4. The teams also will play a preseason game at FedEx Field on Aug. 25.

The scrimmage in Baltimore will include special teams, seven-on-seven and full-squad drills. Ticket prices for the general public are $25 (adult) and $20 (12 and under) for club level seats, and $15 (adult) and $10 (12 and under) for lower level. The parking lot will open at 8 a.m., and the stadium gates at 11 a.m.

The Ravens announced that season ticket holders will receive notice in the mail for discounted tickets to the scrimmage.

Tickets or information: 410-547-7328 or www.baltimoreravens.com. Net proceeds go to the Baltimore Ravens All Community Team Foundation.

Dreadskin "BRING IT ON".

The scrimmage between the Ravens and Skins is good for the competition between the two teams, but I will NEVER pay a dime to see this. Tickets are already expensive enough for real games. The Ravens got rid of a great thing when they stopped the Friday night scrimmage in Westminster. It was a great way to connect with the fan base in the Westminster/Southern Pennsylvania area and was one of my favorite things to do each Summer. Let's hope they never move out of Westminster for training camp because that is probably next.

Charging for a scrimmage? Wasn't it free a few years ago?

Not sure about that but I'll check.

New owner for the Ravens needs the money. Maybe he has been talking to Peter Angelos about how to ruin a club?

They have been charging for the scrimmage ever since it has been held in Baltimore. It's the same as them charging for the draft day "party" in April. I went to the scrimmage once before, it was fun, and my son got in free as a Ravens Rookie - but I'm not sure I would do it again.
What I am more upset about is that the preseason game between the Ravens and the Redskins is never held in Baltimore. Would be nice to have them come here for a change.

I'm sure our tight-wad owner loves going there though. Heck, as far as travel expenses go, it's like having 3 home pre-season games.

If my tickets keep going up at their current rate, it wont matter, I will have to sell my PSL's and start attending high school and college games instead.

Scott,
Thanks for writing and what you say about the tickets are true ... I don't know how folks can afford those things , and that's all over the league. It explains the brisk business on the Internet secondary market. But actually, on the preason thing, I do believe the Redskins played in Baltimore in '05 for that exhibition game.

"New owner for the Ravens needs the money."

Then I guess the same goes for for Pretzel Boy Snyder down the B/W Parkway because he too charged last year for this same scrimmage in their atrocious wreck they call a stadium.

"he too charged last year for this same scrimmage in their atrocious wreck they call a stadium"

you're wrong. i went to that. exhibition was free. preseason is paid tickets if that's what you're thinking of, but that's normal.

redskins have alot more national fanbase money coming in than the ravens though. nobody really likes us yet except maryland. dc and va are already deadskin fans.

My memory may be faulty on this and if someone knows, correct me. But I thought the Redskins charged $25 for parking and there was somewhat of a big deal made about that?
-- Bill O.

There WAS a big deal made about the parking when the skins hosted, but it was still free to get in the stadium. A family of four would have paid $25 not like the $50 here.
