Liddell and Ortiz will not be fighting in UFC 115

The off-again, back-on-again fight between “The Ultimate Fighter” coaches Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz is off again. UFC.com has Liddell taking on Rich Franklin in a match-up of former world champions at UFC 115. The site doesn’t give a reason why Ortiz is not on the card, but I guess we’ll find out in coming episodes of TUF 11 series.

Also on the card is Mirko Cro Cop going up against Pat Barry in the match-up of heavyweights. Other heavyweights on the card are “Big” Ben Rothwell taking on Gilbert Yvel. Cro Cop and Rothwell were supposed to fight back in UFC 110, but Rothwell pulled out of the fight with an undisclosed illness.

Others that are set to fight are Paulo Thiago taking on Martin Kampmann, Carlos Condit versus Rory MacDonald, Tyson Griffin versus Evan Dunham, Mac Danzig versus Matt Wiman, James Wilks versus Peter Sobotta, Ricardo Funch versus Claude Patrick, and Mike Pyle versus Jesse Lennox.
UFC 115 is taking place on June 12  in Vancouver, British Columbia, for the first time.

With the Liddell-Ortiz fight not happening, does Liddell versus Franklin have any interest to you?

No, I know that Franklin would win, and I am tired of watching the old farts dance around in their Depends. Keep the washed up fighters out of my face.

Shaydie,
I couldn't have said it better. Dana White managed Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz many years ago and these guys have been given chances after chances to compete in the UFC. More than any other washed up fighter.

I am interested in this fight, but not really as a main event. Neither fighter has won a major fight for a while and don't really deserve to be rewarded with a main event. I actually like both these guys and thought this fight might happen after the Tito fight. I will probably wait for this one to be replayed on spike though.

Liddell / Ortiz didn't interest me. Frankly, I think Chuck sounds a little punchy to me and I would rather see him retire and stay healthy.
