What's next for Fedor?
CBS had an entertaining night of fights Saturday and while a few of them were closer than I anticipated, there were no real shockers. Fedor did what he does, even if it wasn't as quickly as he's been doing it lately, and Jake Shields won with a terrific ground performance. And I had little doubt about the fights involving Gegard Mousasi and Fabricio Werdum, although they were both in some tough spots at points in their bouts.
The big question for CBS has to be, what's next for Fedor? It isn't like Strikeforce has a ton of interesting matches for him, especially with a heavyweight champ that likely won't fight in the U.S. anytime soon. Is anyone dying to see him fight Werdum? What about Dan Henderson if they sign him? He's probably a little small but I don't know who else could be on the horizon for Fedor.
That's why I wish he was in the UFC. Not so Dana White would win that whole thing, but just so we could see him fight Brock Lesnar and Randy Couture, among others.

Jake Shields fight was garbage. He'd get Miller down and not do a damn thing, it was pathetic. Miller would fight to get up and get a few shots off before another takedown and hold. Shields had ground control but did not outwrestle or outfight Miller.

Randy Couture?? hahahaha.
the old man wouldn't last 60 seconds with Fedor.
Brock doesn't have enough experience yet. I think one of the big Brazilian (Dos Santos, for example) may have the best chance against Fedor right now.

Mentioning Dan Henderson as a possibility is downright silly.

Why can't Fedor fight in the US? It doesn't seem like Strikeforce will have a legit contender so its hard to see where this is going.

Fedor just did fight in US...the heavy weight champ he is referring to is Alistar Overeem.

He has 2 more fights left on his Strikeforce contract which stinks. So basically we're going to have to a year and a half or so till we can even think about Fedor vs Lesnar.

Give Fedor Overeem. Rogers should fight Werdum. Antonio Silva vs Lashley (assuming they sign him).

Why are people talking about Brock like hes good? Fedor has an all round game... Brock has one plan... get them on the ground so he can lay on top of them, they waste most there energy trying to get him off and then he punches them till the ref stops it.
Fedor would most likely submit Lesnar easy.

I think Fedor is only going to go on to bigger and better things, especially now he's had some mainstream exposure to the American audience. All I can say is bring it on! Can't wait to see more of him. I'll be writing about it, for sure! Check it out: http://www.mma-times.com

I agree with what someone else said: Fedor/Couture would not be interesting. People are starting to realise he was hyped too much. He's lost over 40% of his UFC fights.

For real,I'm so sick and tired of hearing Fedor needs to fight Brock to prove something it's pathetic.Brock is 4-1 and has not once impressed me at all in any of his fights.Put him in there with Big Nog and let's see if he's really that good to fight a fighter on Fedors caliber,Or just an overhyped duechbag. My moneys on the second one! ;)

Fedor cuts easy. Age and a long career is cacthing up.
Rogers is the George Foreman of MMA with his thunderous punch power.

If there is enough money involved, why wouldn't Dana do a cross promotion? If I understand it correctly, Fedor has an ownership stake in Strikeforce, so I don't see him abandoning his baby to join the competition. Didn't we have UFC fighters go to Pride back in the day (Chuck Liddell comes to mind)?

In a year and a half, Fedor will still be a big name in MMA, while Brock will have been defeated, forgotten and another UFC sensation will replace him as the "must-see" fight with Fedor.

I loved the whole card, MY favorite fight was Shields vs Miller a great example Grapplig to win a fight.
GSP just said Shields would be his Dream Fight.

alistart overreem "the strikeforce heavy weight champ" will fight fedor next IF he can get off steriods and can pass the drug test "which josh barnett couldnt do in affliction against fedor" this will probally be a while since overreem is fighting in K-1 and DREAM heavyweight tournments but that will be the next fight for fedor and brett rodgers will fight andre arloviski
