My thoughts on Kimbo Slice

Kimbo Slice, as many of you know, is a YouTube streetfighting legend who has made the switch to MMA. This Saturday, he debuts with EliteXC in a fight against Bo Cantrell. Cantrell enters this fight having lost four straight in the first round.

In my latest article at SI.com, I give my thoughts on whether Slice has what it takes to make it as a MMA fighter. I break down his potential based on 1) skill and 2) marketability. Both are essential for success in the fight game.

Note that EliteXC's event is Saturday at 10 PM ET on Showtime.

I think Kimbo will do really well at MMA. He has skill and great marketability. He was awesome at underground fighting and will continue that trend in MMA. Check out the following site, Kimbo Slice.

KIMBO is going to do to MMA what TYSON did for boxing.
