Arizona Fall League recap -- Championship game
The Phoenix Desert Dogs' streak of five consecutive Arizona Fall League championships was snapped by the Peoria Javelinas today.
After a back-and-forth game, the Javelinas topped the Desert Dogs, 5-4, thanks to Chicago White Sox prospect C.J. Retherford's two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Recap: Orioles minor league relief pitcher Josh Perrault (0-1), the Desert Dogs' sixth pitcher of the game, allowed the two-run home run to Retherford.
Perrault was charged with two runs and three hits in one inning. The 27-year-old right-hander struck out two batters, but he couldn't preserve the one-run lead when it mattered most.
Desert Dogs center fielder Matt Angle was 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored. The 24-year-old outfielder also had a stolen base.
Third baseman Josh Bell was 0-for-4 for Phoenix in the loss.

Are there any other Orioles playing in the Winter Leagues? If so, how have they performered?

Dean, Happy Thankgiving and thanks for your updates. I think we can be thankful for the young players who made their debuts with the Orioles this season and who give fans hope for good things in 2010 and beyond.

Thanks for all of the updates. I would like to hear your take on proposed winter activity. Do the Birds need a FA 1B or 3B? Or are Snyder and Bell close to being ready? And whatever happened to Scott Moore? He certainly looked like the real thing in Spring training?
