Thanks for the updates. Keep 'em comin'.
It's the best baseball we O's fans will get to enjoy hearing about this late in October.

It's been awhile since the young position players have gotten' this much attention. This certainly reflects on their recent efforts to replenish the farm system, ...and hopefully one or two of these young guys will be future all-stars. I might add, as it effects the O's rebuilding efforts, the season Jones had was an unmitigated disaster.
His talent aside, his overall approach and attitude went to hell after a magnificent opening, If it were me, I would package him in a trade scenario while he still commands some worth for some middle relief and jettison him out of here before this thing gets out of hand. Pie may be a project, but his attitude is miles ahead of Jones' and he seems to be much more coachable. And one last thought: who was the idiot responsible for Jason Wirth getting away from the O's?!!

Werth was traded to Toronto after 3 years in our minor league system. In four years he never got a total of 100 major league at bats and was traded from Toronto to LA. He looks good now but was a very late bloomer.

Hey Dean,
I was having a discussion with my father about Snyder's numbers at Norfolk and wanted to hear your opinion.
How much can the dimensions of Norfolk's park can affect his stats?
Specially his batting average...
I also read from you that he was having back spasms or something related...
The second question might be much difficult to answer, but if you had to grade the AFL will you grade it near AAA?
Thanks again...
Aldo.

It completely baffles me why people are questioning Adam Jones' attitude. Is it because he's gotten hurt at the end of the past two seasons? OK he was horrible after the All-Star break, but so was Luke Scott and I don't see anybody questioning his attitude. Give the guy a break, this was only his 2nd full season in the Majors. And how can somebody sitting on their couch at home deem him uncoachable? Because Pie made more strides? Well guess what, he could only get better after his miserable start. From everything I've heard (yes, sitting at home on my couch) Jones is becoming one, if not only, vocal leaders in the clubhouse. We have a bunch of lead by example guys, but no one who will hold others accountable, a la Kevin Millar. So for a guy who's only 24 to take that role and have guys respect that role, to me is invaluable.

I like both Jones and Pie, but how is it Pie is the one with the great approach and attitude when I read so many articles and blog posts this season about his constant baserunning and defensive miscues?
