Live: Baysox vs. Connecticut -- Blowing it open
The Baysox scored four runs with five hits in the bottom of the fifth inning to take a commanding 6-0 lead. Bowie took advantage of two errors by Connecticut in the inning.
Starting pitcher Brian Matusz retired the side in order for the Baysox in the top of the sixth. After throwing 27 pitches in the fourth, Matusz has thrown 20 pitches in the past two innings combined. Through six innings, the 22-year-old left-hander has tossed 58 of his 85 pitches for strikes.
