Orioles grab another local player in 46th round
The Orioles just keep picking players from the area.
In the 46th round, they selected Maryland right-hander Scott Swinson, who was 4-7 with a 5.54 ERA in 15 games (13 starts) for the Terps this spring.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound right-hander graduated from Centennial in 2006, and he played for George Washington during his freshman season in 2007.
As a senior at Centennial, Swinson posted a 7-1 record with a 0.70 ERA in 55 innings. He was selected as The Baltimore Sun's All-Howard County Player of the Year in 2007, and he was also named to the All-Metro first team.
