Senators shortstop Michael Martinez smacked a double into left field to lead off the sixth inning. Martinez scored the first run for Harrisburg against Baysox starting pitcher Troy Patton on a groundout by left fielder Michael Daniel.
Baysox right fielder Ambiorix Concepcion struck out to start the bottom of the sixth, and shortstop Robert Valido grounded out to second base. Designated hitter Dave Krynzel hit a double into right-center field with two outs for Bowie, and left fielder Jonathan Tucker knocked him in with an RBI single to give the Baysox a 7-1 lead.
First baseman Brandon Snyder struck out to end the sixth for the Baysox. He is now 0-for-3 with an intentional walk and three strikeouts in the game. Luckily for Bowie, it hasn't seemed to bother them to this point.
Baysox left fielder Jonathan Tucker made a diving catch to rob Senators first baseman Matt Whitney of a base hit to lead off the seventh. Patton struck out designated hitter Luke Montz on three pitches and retired Harrisburg second baseman Jemel Spearman on a groundout. The 23-year-old left-hander only threw six pitches in the inning, and he is at 85 pitches (54 strikes) through seven innings.
Third baseman Mike Costanzo, second baseman Miguel Abreu and pinch hitter Joe Nowicki all grounded out in order for the Baysox in the bottom of the seventh.
After seven innings, the Baysox are leading, 7-1.
