Ravens and 'Skins on 1370

Jerry Coleman reports a full roster of scheduled guests from both sides of the Ravens-Redskins conflagration on his Fox Sports 1370 show this week (3 to 6 p.m.). Today, in addition to his usual studio guest, Baltimore Sun columnist Mike Preston, Coleman will have D.C. media personalities Steve Czaban and Doc Walker (a former Redskin) and Ravens fullback Lorenzo Neal. Tomorrow, along with the regular visit by Washington Post Redskins reporter Jason La Canfora, Coleman has lined up Redskins cornerback Shawn Springs and Ravens linebacker Bart Scott. On Wednesday, former Washington coach Joe Gibbs is on the docket along with Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs and kicker Matt Stover.

# # #Kevin from The Office

Over at The Life of Kings blog, Kevin Van Valkenburg's lovely post about his wife -- and, thanks a lot, Kevin, for whenever my wife reads it and says, "Why don't you ever write about me?" -- led to a discussion of who would be who in a Sun sports department version of The Office. Let me be clear on this: Do not cast me as Kevin Malone. I have much more hair and at least one fewer chin.

And on another totally unrelated matter, has this ever happened to anyone else? We have this kitten who likes to hop around all over the place, including up on the computer desk. Today, she parked herself in front of the monitor and kept following the cursor on the screen, occasionally taking swipes at it with her paw. I certainly wouldn't argue that the cursor is far more interesting than anything I'm typing.

My dog chases the beam of a flashlight around the room. Doesn't even bother with traditional toys. Crazy, fun dog!

About Ray Frager
Ray Frager joined The Baltimore Sun’s sports department in 1985 and has been an assistant sports editor for more than 15 years. This is his second stint writing a sports media column for The Baltimore Sun. Most sequels aren't as good as the original, but then, the original wasn't all that great either.

Frager, born in 1957, grew up in northern Delaware (graduating from a high school that since has shut down) and received his bachelor's degree in journalism from Rider College in Lawrenceville, N.J. He worked as a reporter and copy editor at The Trenton Times and The Dallas Morning News before coming to Baltimore.

Surprisingly, if you look at his accompanying photo, Frager is married and has a son and daughter. He enjoys playing basketball and has organized pickup games among members of The Baltimore Sun staff for many years, which means they don't get too mad at him for shooting way too much.

He has a good beat and is easy to dance to. I'd give him an 85.
