From the NFL Sunday studios

Highlights from the NFL studio shows (as provided by the networks):

The NFL Network's Bob Papa on Plaxico Burress: “It would have been one thing if Eli Manning had gotten in trouble or someone like that, but with Plaxico Burress guys expect there to be drama. Now the Giants have eliminated the distraction by suspending him."

CBS' James Brown on NFL players: "You know on this notion of being role models, you are role models whether you want to be or not. It comes with the territory.  The only choice you have is what kind of role model you choose to be. "

CBS' Bill Cowher on AFC wild-card teams: "I have Baltimore going in as wild card, and I have Indianapolis. The most dangerous team to play in the AFC?  The Denver Broncos. The quarterback, they're better on the road than they are at home.  [Denver is] the most dangerous team in the AFC."

The NFL Network's Warren Sapp on the Cowboys' missing Marion Barber against the Steelers: “There is one rule in the NFL that I live by.  If you don’t have a barber, you don’t get a cut you like and you don’t feel good, you’re not going to play well.  There is no Barber today.”

Fox's Terry Bradshaw on the Giants' coach: “Tom Coughlin, if you get Coach of the Year, you’ve earned it for the way you have managed this football team all year.”

ESPN's Tom Jackson on the biggest surprise team of the season: “Atlanta. It’s a Thanksgiving Christmas miracle. You think about where that team was a year ago -- Mike Vick gone off to jail, the coach had exited -- now Mike Smith in as coach, you get Matt Ryan come in as an outstanding quarterback. They’ve managed to turn things around. If there’s a No. 2, if I had to pick it, it would be Tennessee. Nobody could have envisioned this.”

ESPN's Mike Ditka on Dallas: “The Cowboys are one-dimensional. It is Romo. If he doesn’t perform, they are going to have problems.”

About Ray Frager
Ray Frager joined The Baltimore Sun’s sports department in 1985 and has been an assistant sports editor for more than 15 years. This is his second stint writing a sports media column for The Baltimore Sun. Most sequels aren't as good as the original, but then, the original wasn't all that great either.

Frager, born in 1957, grew up in northern Delaware (graduating from a high school that since has shut down) and received his bachelor's degree in journalism from Rider College in Lawrenceville, N.J. He worked as a reporter and copy editor at The Trenton Times and The Dallas Morning News before coming to Baltimore.

Surprisingly, if you look at his accompanying photo, Frager is married and has a son and daughter. He enjoys playing basketball and has organized pickup games among members of The Baltimore Sun staff for many years, which means they don't get too mad at him for shooting way too much.

He has a good beat and is easy to dance to. I'd give him an 85.
