Sarah Palin
OK, this entry has absolutely nothing to do with the vice presidential candidate -- I just thought I'd put her name in the headline in an attempt to draw even a fraction of the page views from over at Z on TV.
Here's an item that didn't fit into today's column:
You’ve surely heard that snippet of song during NFL commercials. "Everyday is like Sunday …" It’s a piece of a cover of a song by Morrissey, whose morose lyrics would make him one of the last artists you think would be associated with pro football. Here’s some of how "Sunday" goes: Everyday is like Sunday/Everyday is silent and grey/Hide on the promenade/Etch a postcard:/How I dearly wish I was not here/In the seaside town/that they forgot to bomb/Come, come, come — nuclear bomb…Well, it’s not exactly "Are you ready for some football?"
Here's the video for Morrissey's original.

So you have resorted to bait and switch to boost your page counts? Hmmmm.... I guess that's not such an original concept. Besides, I fell for it. Another idea is to have several of your friends repeatedly click on your page. You can probably even find some web wizard at The Sun to set up a bot to do it automatically.
The least you could do, though, is post a gratuitous photo of the VP candidate looking hot to justify the headline, then once the readers get here say that she really has nothing to do with the rest of the column.

Ray replies: Excellent idea. And besides, at least in this version of bait and switch, you don't end up driving away with a lemon.

If your blog were to be like Z's, you'd have to some way push a leftist agenda the whole time. Perhaps you should state that football is just politics...blah, blah, blah...Republicans suck...
