Lacrosse needs you. Get out the vote!
Are you getting ready for the political season? Here's a way to practice voting while supporting lacrosse! WNST is holding a contest ranking the Baltimore sports celebrities. The only lacrosse player in there is Gary Gait and we need to vote for him or there will be no lacrosse player in the top 32 sports figures in Baltimore, and that is a travesty. I know, Petro should be on there too, but he isn't. You can only vote once so tell all your lacrosse friends.

Thank you for posting about the contest at WNST. I wonder if you heard and read the week long railing against the sport of lacrosse from WNST bloggers and The Ungers.
The station had no problem letting their hosts belittle Gary Gait, the sport and anybody that played or is a fan of the sport.
The Ungers stooped to embarrasing levels to go out of their way to bash lacrosse on their show.
The whole issue of the revoting b/c Gait was getting a lot of votes sniffs of a fix to begin with.
I would like to give kudos to you Mr. Weaver and the lax community for giving Gait is due. We all know he is not the "King of Baltimore Sports", but he did deserve a chance to be in a bracket.
I lost a lot of respect for WNST over the past week.
