Terps' Cottle talks it up vs. Duke
Men's lacrosse coaches cry, complain and whine more than any coaches in other sports.
When Maryland played Duke on Saturday at M&T Bank Stadium, Terps coach Dave Cottle may have set an all-time record.
At one point late in the game, Cottle was so busy yelling at the officials that he didn't even make it to the huddles to discuss strategies with his team.
Bill Tierney and Tony Seaman were high on my list, but Cottle has now taken over the No. 1 position.

Mike - Many would say the same about you. :) Keep up the good work.

Amen! I'm glad someone said it. Put Pietramala on that list too. It has gotten worse and worse each year. The behavior I see every game is just unacceptable. Its real easy to berate someone you know won't do anything in response; that's basically the definition of a cowardly act. Don't be afraid to raise this point again Mike. Thanks.

Anytime I see a lacrosse article with Preston's name on it, I know not to waste my time wading through the superfluous blather of a man who knows less than nothing about lacrosse. Fooled me though...didn't know ole' Mikey had written this when I clicked on the link. But this post is yet another fine example of Preston's penetrating analysis. Thanks for the keen insight Mike!

I vote for Petramala Did you see his behaviour at the end of the Sienna game. i am told that he later apologized to the official. And I could hear his foul mouth up in the stands on Saturday.

Mike, are you serious with the first sentence? You call yourself a sports guy...? First of all, college basketball coaches are far worse than college lacrosse coaches. Also, college/pro football coaches (because the can follow the play up and down the sidelines) are worse as well. I understand you try to be trivial and controversial. That's your best quality. However, your first sentence sums up your lack of knowledge of lacrosse. It's a niche sport. You don't get it and that's ok. No need to bust on the coaches. Leave it to someone who knows what they're talking about.
