Coaches announced for U.S. Marine Corps Passing League Maryland

The U.S. Marine Corps Recruiting Station Baltimore has announced that 17 high school head football coaches from the state have agreed to coach in the inaugural U.S. Marine Corps Passing League Maryland on July 23 at Woodlawn High School.

The seven-on-seven tournament features high school football players from throughout the state.

The following head coaches have agreed to participate:

Andre Brown – High Point
Lance Clelland – South River
Donald Davis – Calvert Hall
Rob Elliott – Chesapeake
Dwayne Green – Bluford Drew Jemison Academy
Terry Hayes – Bowie
Rich Holzer – Meade
Dante Jones – Edmondson-Westside
DaVaughn Mellerson – Woodlawn
Mike Melton – Glen Burnie
Michael Nines – Leonardtown
Craig Rollins – Overlea
Jeff Seals - Montgomery Blair
Todd Sommerville – Laurel
Rich Stichel – The John Carroll School
Reggie White – Milford Mill Academy
Jamie Willis – Pikesville

The single-day event has 20 tournament slots available with three slots remaining. Each participating team is guaranteed to play a minimum of four games, with three pool play games to determine the seeding for the single-elimination tournament. The U.S. Marine Corps Passing League - Maryland is a traditional seven-on-seven non-contact passing league played on a shortened field with only passing plays from the line of scrimmage.

The games feature quarterbacks, wide receivers, running backs. Teams and coaches are not affiliated with any public high school or community in Maryland. Team names will be assigned next week and are not connected with any specific public high school. Teams are prohibited from wearing school uniforms or using school equipment during competition.
