Under Armour All-Americans announced
Ten local girls were among 44 high school seniors lacrosse players from across the nation named Under Armour All-Americans on Wednesday.
The girls from the Baltimore area will play on the South team in the sixth annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic July 2 at Towson University's Johnny Unitas Stadium.
Notre Dame Prep's Covie Stanwick and her brother Wells Stanwick, of Boys' Latin, were both selected All-Americans, making them the first sister and brother to play in the event in the same year. The boys game will also be played on July 2 at Unitas Stadium.
Notre Dame Prep coach Mary Bartel will coach the South team along with Manhassett N. Y. coach Carol Rainson-Rose.
